Appears as though I wasn't a lucky one at about 1.5 weeks from case # assigned to having it ship to out of nvc. (NOA2 12/11)   Greenbaum said we may see some more in transit tomorrow though, so fingers crossed!

Greenbaum:  ttps://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/mycasestatus.do  -  this (and the other site) still says 'we've received your case', even though NOA2 (only hard copy) and case number at nvc have been assigned (had to call, no info sent).  Is there a similar situation with information not updated online with nvc, or are they better in this sense?  Aka, I'll get the same answer if I call in a cpl days after all have been sent in the last batch?

jschain:  Glad to hear your case is on it's way to the final step!   When you can access interview dates, I'll be curious to hear what is open in Colombia if you could private msg me?

Yes, we were finally sent out yesterday after waiting about 5 weeks, but maybe there will be more today and you will be in there. We will be trying to get an interview as quickly as possible, so I’ll let you know what the availability looks like as soon as we find out. :)

Am not able to find a date for interview for Nigerian Embassy though been checked by finance...so I don't know if there is a particular time to do that.

If there are no open dates for interviews then it means there are no available slots for interviews. Nigeria is known for not having slots available and when they do come available they are 2-3 months out. It's best to check daily for cancellations.

Most of the websites for USCIS are not updating with any regularity. Once your case number is assigned the ceac.state.gov does a much better job of keeping it close to current. Calling will get you the pad answer "still processing, we see no problems call back in 30, 45 days, 8 weeks or when you are board". Unfortunately that's all we have to go on.

BTW If you just want to post something to an individual without a quote then use the "@" sign then begin typing, in the box at the end of the page, their nick name and you should see it populate to a little window that you can choose their nik. Good luck and I hope this helps navigate the thread and posts in a much easier way. I also most missed your questions as they were buried within a larger response.

Congratulations!

Can you please complete your profile. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline or your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine your Embassy. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right-hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Thanks

Yes, ours was sent out to the embassy today, thank God.  Prayers answered and one step closer! We filed in early March so this has been a long time coming.

Ours says "In transit", what should the CEAC say when the packet arrives to the US Embassy? How long did it take for your case change from "In transit" to get the embassy? . I know we are from different countries and that vary, but just to get an estimated time frame.

Our case moved very fast.
152 days from NOA1 to NOA2
NOA2 arrived December 7th
NVC email arrived January 8th (A month wait) and shows in transit since Jan 8

To have a better idea of your processing times it's recommend that you include those not only for other countries but also from yours. To find those select your flag in your profile on the left side of this page. In the middle you will find four topics, choose the last one "Argentina Visa Timelines" then scroll a little ways down and you will see a "spreadsheet" that was populated with others from your consulate. I hope this helps.

I just called USCIS and that was a big waste of time because I am the beneficiary not the petitioner so they won't tell me anything. I'll get my fiance to call tonight after he's off work. The only thing the guy told me is it could take 90 days for the NVC for receive approved petitions from USCIS (eye roll).

Remember that USCIS has to send your file to the NVC and that can take SIx to Eight Weeks after approval. I Verified your time line from NOA2 and you only have 4 weeks and 3 days. You have to wait a little be more.

One last question before I drop this til next week (lol). USCIS told my fiance just now that it could take 90 days for an approved i129f to arrive at the NVC. So for the approved petitions on the VisaJourney timeline that arrive at the NVC after ~2-2.5 weeks of noa2, are those all expedited petitions?? Apparently there's nothing we can do to speed things along, we are just unlucky with this stage I suppose. Sigh. I will call the NVC maybe Monday for another inquiry.
