You did the right thing. It's just the directions that show up in the pop-up are correct for other types of visas, but not for K-1s. For some reason they've never fixed this.

Oh okay I see, thank you. So I donโ€™t have to complete DS 160 before NVC can send my case to the embassy? So strange that I never receive any emails from the nvc even tho Iโ€™ve updated my email with them electronically and over the phone. Thanks so much for your reply !

Ha, I already tried that and it didn't work either...

So if I never found out what my status was at NVC,

I'd still get packet 3 with no issue right?

Just wait until itย  works again. There's shouldn't be an issue.ย  Thanks btwย

No worries, if you go to the timeline for K1 fiance visas and arrange it by the "NVC Left", you'll see that most of the people sent out in the last batch had their application received by NVC in late November.ย  A few of the newer people got lucky (like everything with this awful immigration process, there's seemingly aย bit of luck involved), but for the most part, you have to wait 3-4 weeks after the case number is received before it is sent out.ย  Hopefully you and I are both in the upcoming batch!

Mine left today, so hopefully yours did too.ย  ย *fingers crossed*

Just got the NVC email with attachment. CEAC tracking still shows "At NVC" but the letter says its being forwarded. Should I presume the CEAC status tracker lags by a day or so?

ย

If the letter is right then we will get the PSA docs ordered.

ย

If we arent in this batch then we should hold on the PSA docs so that they dont arrive ahead of the packet.
