It's WAY TO EARLY to be receiving a case number and with the holidays it will also be slooooooowed down. Check a week from today.

Notice that Drsmile states that NVC RECEIVED: DEC 03 and CASE NUMBER ASSIGNED: DEC 12. Seven business days.

Ok, thank you. My NOA2  date is near yours 12/12, so I was thinking they may have received mine as well but I know that's not always the case.

What is the point of calling to receive your case number?

ensuring the right consulate is receiving the case, tracking the courier shipment, email to the visa unit with relevant case number, etc

and after 30 minutes...they still don't have our petition from USCIS. UGH I don't understand how people who were approved a week after us already have their case number that is beyond frustrating. What gives?
