Congrats. March 07 your interview? Wasn't dates sooner?

The embassy here in Nigeria is very busy. I sent the embassy an email last week Monday and I was scheduled for March 7, 2019.......the earliest date available I guess.

Oh my God. That's so sad 😪😪😪 so long... That day my fiance will be here hahaha I should have it all ready with my ds260 so as soon as it says in transit I should book my interview.

Well I just called and they said mine was still at NVC and that I should call in a week or 2 and check if it was sent. Did you check if yours was sent? Also ask for your inbox number they gave it to me and told me the embassy might ask for it.

Make sure you do the DS160 not the DS260.

2. Checking on your embassy case number from NVC:

It will take 7 - 10 business days for NVC to receive your file from USCIS after you receive the NOA2, then another 2 - 5 business days for NVC to get your file in their system and produce your case number.

Just adding our data point to the thread. We're NOA1 June 29, NOA2 - December 1. I've called NVC twice before (probably too early), but called again today and found out that NVC Received on December 21, but no case # assigned yet.  I called mid-day, was on hold for about 30 minutes.

So I guess I'll call again in a week or so and see if we have our case # yet. Good luck to everyone waiting! Remember to update your timelines! (I'm following a ton of similar timelines - great tool that's available here!).

Anyone have any idea if they may send out more cases tomorrow since they were closed on Tuesday of this week? Usually it is Tuesday and Wednesday, but I'm not sure what they have done in the past in a holiday situation.  Some of the ones received by NVC on 12/3 (and later) got lucky today, but we were not one of them 😩

So we got our case no. today

I searched it on caec website, However under immigrant visa it iz showing status"at nvc" and tells me to follow link which is a process of cr1 visa.

If i choose nonimmigrant visa on caec website,  enter our embassy and case no. It doesn't have any status there suggesting me it is incorrect no.

Is it same for you guys too?

You use the immigrant drop down. When they send your file to the Consulate/Embassy it will change from "At NVC" to "In Transit" don't worry about all the other stuff on there.

NVC finally received our case today 🙂

Now to wait for our case number... would be great if our case gets sent to the embassy in the next batch in two weeks 🤞🤞

NOA2: Nov 30th

NVC Received : Dec 26

We got today too, but they gave me case no. I asked when was it recieved she said today it is put into system. Batch for this week is already left? 😕

Does your show under immigrant drop down as well?

Yes, I got my case number Friday but it didn't go out in today's shipment so hopefully it will go out on Jan 9th.

Our case was received at NVC on Dec 6th. Number assigned on Dec 17th. We are still "At NVC". Not sent out to consulate quite yet but hopefully in next batch or sooner :D Good luck everyone!

So that means it is not necessary that the next batch after case assigned it will be sent to embassy

Seems to be so. Every case is different and we still have tomorrow for good news. If not, then Jan 9th appears to be the next NVC "send out" date and hopefully we will both be on it! :) Cheers friend!
