do you need to pay the fee for the ds-160?

You and I do not have to pay a fee for the DS-160. The DS-160 is a FREE document to completed and used at the interview. You do need the completion number from the submission of the DS-160 to complete your interview payment fee.

PPL There is NO FEE for the DS-160! :bonk:

Hi everyone! Tomorrow I'll send our packet3 to the US Embassy in Argentina. I realised that the I-134 form that my fiance and co sponsor are the old version, there's a new one since february. Could this be an issue if I send the old version I already have? Thanks!

If you return back to the website where you download the I-134 it will give you the acceptance dates. There you can compare to your timeline and determine if you need to use the new I-134.

Every document including the form I-134 can be presented as a photocopy an original is not required so if you scan the documents and the beneficiary can print them off saving you $$$$$.

Make the address corrections through e-Request. https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/displayTypoForm.do;jsessionid=abcIkx3AiL4bjbP5StYLw?entryPoint=init&sroPageType=typoError

Be sure to properly list the address's on the DS-160.

Relax, you're not going to get denied maybe an RFE but not denied.

We are now at the interview stage (our interview is in april). We put his current physical address on the DS160 and I will put that same one on the 134 affidavit of support. Should we still submit a form for change of address? Also I noticed the form is for the beneficiary (which is me) and not the petitioner. His mailing address is still his parents so that has not changed. Just wondering if they care about physical address that much. Thanks so much again.

The information you provide is mandatory. Failure to report a change of address may result in a fine, imprisonment and/or removal, as well as jeopardize your ability to obtain a future visa or other immigration benefits.

Hey everyone! Quick question. For the I-134 for a joint sponsor, are the last three tax transcripts, a letter from the employer and the last six months of bank statements enough? Or do they also need to include a bank letter? @Greenbaum

They are looking for the same as the petitioner.

EVIDENCE OF SUPPORT. You should be able to demonstrate that you will not become a public charge or be a burden on the U.S. taxpayers for financial support. A completed I-134 Affidavit of Support Form (https://www.uscis.gov/i-134) K1/K2 Interview Preparation Instructions – English (February 2014)  Page 3 of 9 with an original signature will be useful to the consular officer to evaluate your petitioner’s ability to be financially responsible for you. You should also submit your petitioner’s most recent U.S. Federal income tax return (Form 1040) and wage statements (Form W-2). Employment letters stating salaries and bank statements may be included to substantiate the I-134. Get the IRS transcript in place of the actual 1040 here: https://www.irs.gov/Individuals/Get-Transcript Use this link to determine the income levels needed https://www.uscis.gov/i-864p.

Okay thank you. Do you think that my sponsor’s $40,000 salary a year would be enough? I know it’s supposed to be 125% of the poverty line but this process makes me doubt 😆

There is a link in my post in the last sentence to determine income levels needed.  Please check there. 100% is needed for K1 interview  and 125% for AOS after marriage.  ,If you are at 125% or above you have no problems.
