My fiance had his interview at Abu Dhabi embassy and we got approved :). Very happy and excited. I just have one big question is it better if he travels from Abu Dhabi to USA or he can go to Pakistan and travel from there? POE can be Abu Dhabi for both point but just worried that if he goes to Pakistan before traveling to USA there might be issue. Anyone has any idea?

Maybe then you try writing about this issue. This is not the ceac website support contact but you can still try it. Jus mention the issue and see if they can fix it.

Try to use non-immigrant then put the "AA###" found in your ds160. That's what I did. 😂

There is someone that has reported this issue and some others too. It's been reported that their is a bug. The work around is: If your having problems with the CEAC site timing out when looking up your case it's because the system is trying to cross reference the immigrant case number with the non immigrant AA number.  You select Non-Immigrant from the drop down menu and select the proper Embassy location. Then you enter the AA number from your DS-160 number and presto...a much quicker and consistent response. The output is the same but you no longer have the problem with the system timing out while doing the search...

It's better to travel through any other country not being a middle east country as a pass through airport on your way to USA. With India and Pakistan rattling swords I doubt this would be good time to travel there. The "do not open envelope" that you will get with the passport and visa must be carried in your personal carry on luggage and protected from anyone opening it until you pass through US immigration.

Do you still have a copy of your P3 letter from UAE? Would you share a copy with me as I use it to help others and I currently do not have one from UAE. Thanks and best of luck and safe travels.

Interesting.

@Greenbaum I have two AA numbers. I just checked both.

One is from DS-160 and it says ‘no status’ last updated Jan 6. Fair enough- guessing they just haven’t updated anything.

Next number is from my MRV Receipt with a different AA number. Just checked and it’s from my B1/B2 visa. Is that normal? Why would that number come up now after paying for K1 visa? This is all on NON-IV...

This is a problem I've seen people report sometimes. Happens when someone had tourist or some other Non-IV visa before, and when they pay for K-1 it pulls up number for their old DS-160 that doesn't match DS-160 for K-1. Usually this is corrected during or before the interview by the conciliate staff. It was probably corrected in your case as well.

Our visa got conditionally accepted or conditionally denied...they need a joint sponsor because I haven’t filed income taxes or worked for the last two years  officially. We are really upset because I don’t have anyone to help me. Just venting a little here on visa journey :( If I went to the US and worked for two years and filed taxes, would I be able to bring her over without a joint sponsor?

The official requirement for I-134 is 100% of the poverty level, but embassies can and do have their own requirements.

This is for 48 continental states, excluding Alaska and Hawaii.

For I-134 you only need to meet 100% standard, you will need to meet 125% later though while doing AOS.

Approved Monday!  Easy interview - they did ask us the same questions (her in Spanish... I kind of understood) and me in English to ensure we had similar sounding stories.

Said it would be about a 1-2 week wait for the visa, so hopefully she'll be here in about 3 weeks :)

Good luck to everyone still on the journey!
