hi all, my case left nvc on 1/23 arrived in sg on 1/28 currently ceac is still showing “ready” with “last updated” date changed once. my noa2 expired on 4/10. what can i do at this point? just keep on waiting for the packet3? another question - i would like to renew my Singapore Permanent Resident (PR) before i leave Singapore. would i face any issue if the PR # doesn’t match when i enter US?

Your NOA2 will extend in increments of 4 months up to one year. The Embassy does this. Contact the Embassy and see if they can send you the P3.

You're not entering the US on a PR #, you are entering on a K-1 Visa. Totally two different animals. You can renew but their are a lot of disadvantages to which I recommend you do a google search to determine if you are wasting your time because once you return to Singapore you will have certain parameters that you must meet to continue to use the PR. I'm not an expert that is what I read and of course each person will process differently based on their personal situation.

Yes! finally received my packet 3. i will send you the scanned copies when i have done with my submission. but before that let me confirm with you guys here.

1) Form I-134 (empty form) are enclosed in the packet 3. am i supposed to use the form prepared by them? or i can ask my fiance to fill out online and i print out at my end?

2) i have already obtained my police certificate (both malaysia and singapore) on last month. but per packet 3, there is another separate letter can be used to request for police cert and the cert will be directly send to embassy. in this case i assume i can ignore this part and use the one i have obtained recently?

3) to reply back embassy, ds160 confirmation letter, payment receipt and other forms are supposed to be included. how about evidence of relationship?

I don't know the exact words in the P3 on this subject without a copy but some embassies require that they be sent to them so they will know that it came from a governmental agency and that it was not "changed" before being presented at the interview.

3) to reply back embassy, ds160 confirmation letter, payment receipt and other forms are supposed to be included. how about evidence of relationship? From this stage onward only submit what is asked for, no more and no less. Use the P3 as a checklist and do not deviate from it and you will have less problems.

Good luck and I look forward to receiving a copy of the P3 when you are ready.

Hi k1 team, I'm freaking out here filling DS160 Form, hope you can help me, @Greenbaum. I watched videos on internet about how to fill in the form, but I got questions I haven't seen before and I don't know how to answer.

Please help!

1) In present work/education/training info, for "Primary Ocupation" I added not emplyed, opened a box to explain, which I did. Then aditional work/education/training the videos in internet show question "do you belong to a clan or tribe?", but I got questions about my last 5 years work experience and to add highschool and other education, my question is:

A) Do I have to add exactely what I put in the original I129F Form?, If I do I worked as self emplyed becase Im an artist so, do I have to add "not apply" to company name, address, etc and then add the same explanation I gave in the I129F Form?

B) Do I have to add I studied a career that I did not finish or I. only have to add the education/training which I got a degree?

Please Im very stressed out and frustrated right now, Im scared to make a mistake it could turn out in a red flag or denial 😭

A. Well you are self employed so you have to indicate that on the DS-160. If you work out of your home then indicate that as your address.

B. Yes you must list all education whether you finished it or not.

Hi everybody,

preparing for our interview this thursday, we realized we made a typo with my fiance's mother's birthday, is it necessary to have them correct this at the interview?  Would this affect anything going forward such as AOS because if i remember correctly, the AOS application asks for parental information?  Figure I'd ask here first before making any kind of thread.

TIA

Yes it can be changed at the interview. Be sure all other documents you are filling out contain the correct date. Don't worry about AOS as that is all new and nothing ties together that would influence it in anyway with a minor mistake like that.

Hey guys! I'm having my interview on Wednesday and I have a big doubt: Do I need to take my ORIGINAL birth certificate with me to the interview? I've already submitted a certified copy with the P3 (Consulate in Buenos Aires)

Thanks!

What are certified copies exactly?

Here in the states, a State issues a BC and it is original (printed only once on fancy spancy paper) when produced the first time after birth. Then from there on, if one is needed you get a "reprint" of the original (plain old bond paper) and it is indicated on the copy that it is a "certified" copy. Meaning it's identical in everyway with the original, just not an original. Using such a document is like using the original.

@Greenbaum,need your help again ....I don’t remember the exact date I came to US . So on I-134 can I just put the month & year ? It’s not in my naturalization certificate & I had lost my original passport too. So no way to find it

A certified copy is a copy (often a photocopy) of a primary document that has on it an endorsement or certificate that it is a true copy of the primary document. It does not certify that the primary document is genuine, only that it is a true copy of the primary document.

Again!! Oy Very! Alright. Month and year is fine. Try getting an I94 and see if your trips show up there with full dates.
