The packages that just left the NVC for Montreal, Canada went from Boston to Cinninnati overnight ... not exactly the right direction lol

The DHL international hub is CVG airport which is technically across the river from Cinncinnati... in Kentucky.

Hi guys, I know the answers are in this forum and I’m being annoying by asking. But I’m having a slight panic. I have all case numbers etc. and CEAC site says “ready”. How am I going to be notified by the US consulate? By email or by post? On my initial petition the postal address is now wrong. I’m panicked they’re going to post a letter that will never get to me so am hoping it is via email! What am I waiting for? Can I book my medical or do I need this notification? My NOA2 is December 11. I feel like I’m being thick but I’m getting jittery which is not helping me to think straight haha.

hi all, dhl tracker shown the arrival to Singapore in 1/28. as of today CEAC status is still showing “in transit”. how long does it take to receive packet 3 by mail? will i receive an email notification separately? can i call embassy and how should i ask from here? my initial medical screening is tomorrow morning. i have to cancel it since i haven’t receive the packet3 which it takes longer than expected. the next available slot for medical screening is one month later! meanwhile i am preparing for document. can i check what is w2 (or w4) document? is this compulsory? sorry for so many questions. thank you for whoever that help out. appreciate :) oh ya i see some people add sponsor. how to determine if you need sponsor?

Haha thank you. It’s england! Yeah filled out ds-160 and my lawyer is reviewing it: he is being quite useless as I filled it out a week  ago and just no direction from him what to do/expect next or where to go or even to go ahead and submit it. So thought I’d just get some help here!

Do u need to update or register ur mobile number with IRS to get the code on mobile? My fiance moved back to US 8 months back and the got a new US mobile number so not sure if the number is registered with IRS. What's the procedure to do that?

No.

There is no registration of your mobile number.  The IRS conducts an identity check when you create an online account, and part of that check involves verification via mobile phone.  1st, they check that the name registered to the mobile phone matches your name.  2nd, they send you a code via sms to that mobile phone.   Then you can enter that code to finish verification.  If the mobile phone is not in your name, or for some reason you can't get the code via sms text, then you request to have them mail the code to your home via US Post.

Hey everyone!

This one is country specific, but maybe you guys can give me a hand.

The p3 for Argentina states that we need to drop the copies of the documents at the embassy before the interview.

Now, the email they sent us reads "please allow 10 business days between the dropping off of the copies and the interview".

How strict is that? Since it's not in the instruction package, we forgot about it and scheduled our interview allowing 8 business days. Any thoughts?

Hello! Our case status is "Ready" just today but we still haven't received an e-mail from NVC to get the medical 😅 Has anyone received theirs?

I don’t know if NVC would ever sent an email for medical. You will get a k1 FTP letter from NVC with all your case # but not anything asking u to schedule for medical. Medical scheduling is done by the applicant .

Contact NVC to push them along. Head on over to Hanks website and follow the directions there. Bust instructions on how to process everything in the PI.

Also, there is a sub-forum for the Philippines here on VJ that you should be a part of. It's a good place to read what others are experiencing which will only prepare you for your interview.

Manila US Embassy states that a scanned copy of the signed I-134 is fine, if you don't have the original.

You could be screwed. If they are not ready they will turn you away costing you to forfeit the interview you have and then you will have to go to the end of the line.

People, embassy's don't fool around. They have the gold so they get to make the rules. They have the experience and know what works for them, not for you. I preach this all the time, READ the P3 letter and follow exactly what they ask for. No more and no less.

Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine your Embassy. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right-hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Thanks

Now this is why we need to have you complete your profile.

Here is a list of things to do that will help you along the way. When you get your P3 letter then combine that with this information.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1EEVpQlEvMr5vGoV_pqKBVM1dENnWnNEr/view?usp=sharing

I wish I could give you a P3 letter as I normally have them for most embassy's but I don't have one for Singapore. If you get one can you share it with me so I can share with others. Just PM me here on VJ. If you don't have a P3 by the end of the week I would email or call the Embassy.
