Good Day! I am trying to assist a friend that has 2 children for her ex husband that was deported 10 years ago back to his country. She is looking for a way to get him back for the children due to emotional and depression situations that the children are having in their day to day living. I have done some research today on USCIS website about the I-212 but, would to ensure that I am giving her the best information possible to assist her and her children. Thank you in advance!

what was the reason for deportation and how long was his ban?

i 485, 130, EAD and AP

04/09/2019    NOA1 received/check cashed i 485 and 130 (direct adjustment)

11/7/2019      Interview- Norfolk

11/10/2019    APPROVED (notification rec'd 11/10, approval dated 11/8)

DONE FOR TWO YEARS!!! ;)

 

Filed everything ourselves with no RFE's or delays.

 

CR1 for Child under 21 (20 at time of filing)- Filed by LPR Spouse for his son

4/4/20     Mailed packet

4/12/20   NOA1 rec'd

10/14/21 (havent heard anything... when do i start to get worried?)

9/15/22 APPROVED! Now to wait for NVC and interview....

He cannot come on a family-based or immediate relative visa if he is no longer married to your friend. If his ban is over then maybe he can apply to visit. If not, your friend will be taking the children to visit him

if she wants them to spend time with their father.
