Hello and good afternoon !

This may be a silly question. On the affidavit of support Page 4 sec. 38 it’s asking about how long will I support the beneficiary or make specific contributions. I marked I intend which is obvious because we will be living together etc. Exactly what am I supposed to put in the Addtional information part without it sounding inaccurate or as if I will only be supporting my fiancé for a specific amount of time? My fiancé intends to start school and work as well so I will not be the sole source of income once it is permitted by law to work and will we share everything ...

can anyone direct me in this or have a sample that I may refer to for k1 visa

thank you and many blessings

In the post, under guidance from the Consular Office (CO), the petitioner put this sentence in the additional information:

Financial support with the K1 Visa

That is what I will be putting in.

That question should be answered "intend"  only if a sponsor is making SPECIFIC contributions.....SPECIFIC...

The consultant suggested us to choose "intend"then add additional information like I answered above👆,bcuz it's your fiance. If it's someone you offer a job for him or her, you might describe what specific contribution you intend to make. This form isn't only designed for fiance visa that's why there are two ways to answer.

That's quite noble. But after he becomes  USA citizen, you aren't obligated to do so; unless of course you sign a document like say an I-130, and promise that, and then his divorce lawyer submits a copy of that to the divorce court, and then you pay alimony for life.
