is it true, or is it not? is the official VJ stance that every case that is returned by consulates is just a malicious error on the part of the consulate? do consulates and their decisions just have no legitimacy according to VJ posters or what?

No that is not the "official VJ stance" but the very fact that many cases that are rejected by the consulates are fought and eventually approved makes one wonder what's going on at the consulate level. But you wouldn't understand that since you only come to this board to cause trouble. Sure you say you offer much insight but I haven't read one helpful visa-related post come out of you yet.... which is why you are constantly banned. Well that and the fact that you're just outright rude. I would think that someone who professes to have so much intelligence would have better things to do with his time than to constantly make pseudo names on a message board for the sole purpose to mock others.

Do you have anything besides anecdotes that say this is true? I want real evidence, not pointing to two or three posters on here. It's a far safer bet to wager that there's nothing going on at the consulates other than their doing their jobs accurately, as they've been trained to do, and legitimately weeding out fraud. And when they do so, and a poster here reports that their petition has been rejected, it's well within reason to conclude that they are in fact fraudulent.

Anything else just seems like blowing sunshine up people's bodily orifices.

I guess I cannot fathom why anyone would lie about having their petition eventually approved. It would seem more likely to me that they would continue to be on here looking for people to give them emotional support if they were not approved. I'm not sure where exactly we can go to get this type of data but it's probably out there somewhere.

While the consulates are trained to weed out fraud, I would hesitate to say that they are perfect at doing so. As a result, when they judge certain relationships to be fraudulent, I don't think that definitively indicates fraud. Likewise, if a visa is issued, I wouldn't say that the relationship is guaranteed to be legitimate.
