Does anyone know the procedures for getting married in Vietnam now?

I know you get single certificate at the Embassy there. I am divorced so what other paperwork do I need?

Thanks in advance for any help

Craig

Go to this page, it was really helpful when I was getting ready to get married in Vietnam.  All the forms that you need are there.  When you go to the Dr to get your Mental accessment, BRING A NOTARY WITH YOU.  In fact, fill out all your other forms before you do your mental health accessment that way you can get all of your paperwork notarized at one time.  This will help when you have to bring your paperwork to the secretary of state to get notarized because they charge by how many notaries they have to certify and I made the mistake of having 3 notaries to certify. I was never married so I'm not sure how to deal with the divorce.  Maybe just get a divorce decree and get that notarized too and include it with your paperwork.  Once you have your paperwork taken care of, you will have to send it to the Vietnam embassy in Washington DC or if you live close to a general consulate, you can bring it there to do a final approval of your paperwork.  You'll also have to send a check or money order for $200 (not 100% sure, it's been a while) for that.  you can call the closest consulate to check on that fee, you won't find on the website or anywhere else on the internet, I tried.  You have to call them.  It's a quick turn around once they receive your paperwork.  and once you get it back, I would send it to your fiancé so that she can bring it to the local courthouse so they can see if anything is missing and if anything is, then you can worry about it here.  Make sure to bring a suit so you can wear it to the courthouse on your paperwork signing day and it's also good to have if you're a bigger guy. They don't have big people close in Vietnam.  Hope this was helpful.  Good luck on your adventure!

rbz,

I don't mean to change to topic(don't know how to PM on VJ),  but have you got you NOA2?  You timeline said your NOA is 4/2 but historical data shows that NOA1s with date of 4/21 are being processed.
