Sounds like they undertaking further investigation, nothing to do but wait.

Did she kept his/her passport ? Usually A 221g White slip denotes requirement for further processing by the USCIS1. The Consulate pushes back these kinds of cases to the USCIS and the decision is taken based on the information obtained from the USCIS.

Of course they will ask you to fill out the ds 5535 form and then the status will change to AP and it will get updates then it will change to issues.

About your old passport I suggest to call the interior ministry and ask them about that.. cuz I had only one passport

Not necessarily. I was given a 221g white slip on the day of my interview saying they need more time to process my case. Luckily CO gave my fiancé the reason why & it’s to confirm his divorce documents although we weren’t missing any documents day of interview. Our file is under review through our embassy still. If you get a 221g & they tell you/ check off that they’re sending your case back to USCIS, that’s basically a flat out denial & they let the petition expire.

So if your 221g doesn’t say that then they’re basically just probably looking deeper into your case file so that they can make a final decision.

Correct. A K-1 is a non-immigrant visa but is handled by the immigrant visa (IV) unit. Once the IV unit completes their processing, it is sent to the NIV unit for their processing as they handle NIVs.

Completely normal, and generally a good sign that it will be issued soon (TM).
