Do not worry about the ending date. My fiancee's date on the I-797 was from 7/31/2006 to 11/30/2006. My fiancee's interview date was not until 19 April 2007. Once the U.S. Embassy receives your packet from the NVC it does not matter because your interview date may be well pass the ending date of the I-797. You also will not have to request an extension it will be done automatically by the U.S. Embassy where your fiancee/fiance packet is processed.

Yes the approval is valid for only 4 months, but the embassy will automatically extend it if they will not be able to conduct the interview by then. And they can extend it as long as nessary. You dont have to worry about the date on the form. But do keep the form as you will need it with AOS.

No. The extension is automatically granted at the Embassy if the expiry date passes without an interview.

It means that YOU must have all your information to the Consulate BEFORE 9/14/2007. The Consulate can schedule your interview anytime before or after the 9/14/2007 date. But you need to make certain that all your packet 3 docs are at the Consulate BEFORE this date.

If your interview is after this date and was scheduled by the Consulate, no problem. You don't need to reschedule anything. In fact in many cases it is almost certain the interview will happen after the NOA2 expiration date. But again, YOU only need to ensure that your documents are at the Consulate BEFORE this date. The Consulate will take it from there.
