Please I went for F2A spousal visa interview and was approved by the consular and I want to know the timelines that the case status changes because my status changed from Ready to administrative processing the next day and it's been 5 days and it's still at administrative processing with the case last updated 5 days ago . When will it change from administrative processing to issued ?

Unfortunately, administrative process is a normal, but unpredictable phase of the visa process.  It could last days, weeks, or months.....there is no way to speed it up or to even guess how long it will take......

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Which embassy? Everyone goes through administrative processing as it is a generic term for “post-interview paperwork” and whilst for most applicants it only lasts a day or two, it can last for years if extended or complex background checks are required.

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

Could just be a case of slow progress due to the huge workload. Ghana is a very busy embassy. It’s not a country known for extended background checks such as MENA countries and some south Asian countries. Usually the biggest hurdle in Ghana is being approved at the embassy on the “bona fide relationship” side of things - sounds like you got through that just fine.

Hi what does ‘At NVC’ status means? We submitted all requirements such as aos and civil docs online like what they asked on oct 31. But was sent a letter saying they are asking one more requirement which we sent the same day. But until now it is not yet ‘accepted’ like the others. Probably how long are we still gonna wait?

F2a. Prolly how long? Thanks for answering.

Once Nvc has all requested documents they will notify you by mail that they have received all documents and that you are in a queue, which means ur case is complete .

Ur interview is mostly linked with ur priority date . U normally get an interview letter as at when your priority date becomes current ( final action date)
