Crossing Syrian border....

Salam Alaikium everyone!

 

I'm in the process of getting my Jordanian husband's application together for the I-130. He lives near the border and is considering going in to Syria at least a few times a week to work. Does anyone know if this will cause any issues with getting his visa?

Yes, it will cause issues. So please do not do that.

I agree. It would put him at a much higher issue of being highly scrutinized and could cause an extra long time to process your case or possibly result in long Administrative Processing. Has he been to Syria recently? 

 

He should avoid taking that job if at all possible.

These are the responses I thought we'd get. I told him the same, but I wanted to confirm with others. He hasn't been in years because the border has been closed until recently.
