The writ forces a decision , which will be made based of what is in hand.  It does not force a positive decision only a decision.  If immigration does not yet have the data to approve it will force a denial

One thing to be said about people and a lot of immigration lawyers     A fool and his money are soon parted .

If they actually need more time to finish your case they can ask for it from the judge.

Also, it usually takes them about one day to know more about anyone than their mother does... It is almost funny to say 60 days is not enough time.

Also, by law, they are forced to present a reason for rejection according to grounds of denial.

My wife wasted 3500$ for writ of mandamus. So I suggest other people not to waste their money. Lawyers will fool you to sell their services. I think their is a zero percent success rate , it's better to keep waiting and be in touch with senator and embassy.

What happened with that? Were you rejected? Or was the lawsuit dismissed?

What was the reason?

No official replied to the emails sent by the lawyer. Lawyer took 3500$ just to emails officials . They didn't bother to answer to the later, and now he wanted to pay him 12000$ to go to the court and off course I was not a fool anymore .

Thanks for the update. So often do we get post of people thinking or even starting the process of WOM but then we do not get many updates afterwards. Yes, the cost of this legal process is not cheap and should be considered in the decision to file WOM.

Well, I'm really sorry. Looks like you were dealing with a fraud. Most lawyers charge 5-8 k for preparing AND filing the lawsuit. The court fee is also only a few hundred dollars. It is strange he asked for 3500$ to do WoM, but only sent out emails??! To whom did he even send an email?! So bizarre. I don't ask you the name bc I guess that would break the rules of the forum. But can you at least share his city or state? Just trying to make sure he is not one of the ones I spoke to.

You will likely lose if youbtry that fast. Need to give reasonable timeframe for admin processing and such. At least 6 months,  and for travel ban countries at least a year

No way its not the case  there is something called law. They have to refuse according to US law. Because that is lawsuit and also there is an appeal too
