Hi,

just wanted to share what had happened with our case and might as well seek guidance from other people who might have an idea with this one.

My father and I, along with my other 2 siblings, had our nterview last Sept. 13, 2018. Everything went well. We kept on checking for the status on their website, and after a month, the status changed to "Issued", precisely on October 18, 2018.

We kept on contacting the embassy's CS but to ni avail, they told us to just wait for the email or sms from 2go, which will be sent to me. I received nothing or whatsoever and the waiting had been longer and longer. Now, I checked their website, CEAC.state.gov, and was actually shocked to see "READY" again. I was confused. Our medical already had lapsed along the waiting time and whenever we will call them, they said to just wait for the email or anything. The agent actually said that she will escalate it to her supervisor over the phone. I received an email about it but still, nothing progressive had occured. Help us with this one. Any insights will be much appreciated.

I forgot to add that, they were asking for my brother to send another Birth certificate. Since we are 4 people, I, my dad and my younger sibling, had passed the initial interview right away. My other brother was not able to take the first interview and had to be rescheduled. I asked the CSR over the phone if that was the reason why our VISAs got delayed; the agent said no and VISAs are on a "case to case basis" hence any problem with my other sibling's process wouldn't have any impact on ours. Was it true?

It has been 6 months since your medical?  How far in advance of your interview did you complete your medical?

As for the birth certificate, when the embassy requests documents, only send what they have requested .. in this case your brother's BC.   Just the same, I don't see how this would cause an issue if the new BC remedied the problem found with the initial BC.

For now you have to do just as the embassy is stating ... be patient and wait for the embassy to contact you.
