If you honestly don't remember the dates of residence or where you were 9 or 10 years ago, if you guess is it okay? This application online does not allow you to proceed forward without covering every date. I wish there was a way to type extra information in there, yet I don't see anywhere to do this. Could I include a letter with the NVC packet to type regarding that these dates were very foggy and a total guess? I don't want it to seem as if lying -- these dates honestly just can't remembered. Thanks!

I would put the closest date possible and not worry about it. I did that for my employment history, as I didn't know the exact dates that I began and ended certain jobs. You could write up a note and bring it to your interview explaining yourself. I doubt it would be an issue either way.

  • Consulate: Montreal, Canada
  • Marriage: 2017-05-08
  • i130 Sent: 2017-07-07
  • i130 NOA1: 2017-07-12
  • i130 NOA2: 2018-02-15
  • NVC Received: 2018-03-07
  • Case Number Received: 2018-05-10
  • Send AOS Package: 2018-05-23
  • Send IV Package: 2018-07-19
  • Case Completed at NVC: 2018-07-26
  • Interview Date: 2018-10-31 (approved!)
  • Visa in hand: 2018-11-05
