no, I don't mind. I am not living in USA, I am still living in my house at Reynosa, MX. I have never been catch crossing to USA because I have a tourist visa and always have crossed thru the port of entries,  I use it to cross to visit my husband during weekends and holidays too. Hopefully to God all be approved and we will be ready to live legally at USA soon, very soon. :dancing:

So awesome congrats!!!!  If you need any information about Juarez let me know!  Did you guys book at Mesaluna?  Its the closest hotel walking to the consulate and you don't have to cross any streets.

so kind of you Ben & Katy ! no,  we booked in a hotel also a 5 mins walking distance but closer to centro commercial las missions, we are so excited! my question for you guys will  be about if your delivery courier, did you wait to have your green card package delivered to Juarez CAS? or was it mailed to you by DHL? Also, does the neighborhood around these hotels and consulate is safe?  what was your perception?  WE are flying thru Monterrey and arriving directly to Juarez Airport, do you know if is it safe to use the hotels shuttles?

Thank you for your help! :star:

We picked up our visa at the consulate 1 hour after the interview.  It was a special circumstance due to a medical.  Now she is getting it treated here in Tucson under my insurance which I could not provide in Mexico.

We originally elected to have the package sent to DHL Nogales,Sonora instead of waiting in Juarez.  We didn't know they would provide the visa the same day.  There is no "neighborhood" surrounding the consulate.  The only part of Juarez where we felt unsafe was the entrance to the city to the south coming from Acension,Chihuahua.  That neighborhood made us feel like we were in the movie Sicario.  The area around the consulate is pretty safe, a lot of restaurants, franchises, mall, medical places for visa beneficiaries.  The hotel shuttles are safe to use to go to your medical appointments and to the airport.

We drove from Magdalena,Sonora to Juarez so we did not depend so much on taxis and shuttles.  I know that Juarez has a tour bus that tours all the tourist points of interest in Juarez.   After she got her visa we crossed to El Paso to go to the mall and then we came back to Juarez at night since we had one more night booked.

:) But I do seriously recommend using the DHL to Tamaulipas instead of waiting for it Juarez since you never know how long you will have to stay.

Ben & Katy , was your wife stopped every time she cross to USA while she was waiting for Juarez appointment date? did she cross using her Tourist visa? I have being stopped every time I cross since last December, they insist I live in USA, which I don't, and I have to carry with me all my personal documents like my house taxes, job payslips, etc. 2 weeks ago the CBP officer asked me " do you have your green card package with you" and  I was like   and I responded " I have that yet". did they do the same to your wife?
