How long was the whole interview process at Montreal?

I would like to know how long the whole interview process took from start to finish. I am hoping to go back the same day as I do not live in Montreal.

When time was your interview and when did you leave the embassy to go to the airport?

How long does it take to go back to the Trudeau Airport YUL?

Thanks in advance for all your input.

Got in by 7:30 and was out by 9:15 or so

Thanks Mevora. I booked my return flight for 1pm hoping that the interview process, from start to finish, will not last more than 3 hours. My interview is at 8am🙏. It looks like for most people it was 2 hours according to this https://www.visajourney.com/reviews/index.php?cnty=Canada&page=1&dfilter=5&topic=

I showed up when the consulate opened (7:30) even though my appointment wasn't until 9am. They let me in and gave me a number, so they don't seem to care if you show up super early. You should go at 7:30 and then you'll be done even sooner! Good luck :)

It's super tight so if I was you, I would've changed it to a later time. I was the first one to get interviewed so justmake sure you're there by 7:00 to get ahead of every one

We had our interview today (approved, yay!) and it just clicked we didn't get our original docs back. 🤔 Can someone please confirm that they were supposed to keep these (i.e. birth and marriage docs) in addition to the passport? And that we are supposed to get them back with the passport?

Or was this a mistake and she should have handed them back and we forgot to ask?

Congrats on getting approved!

When I was there last week, they handed me back my original birth certificate at the interview window without me asking, so I would think it's protocol to have it returned to you. :o

Hi! I had a 9am appointment and was finished at 11:15am.  It seemed to be first-come first-serve, though.

FYI, no backpacks, bags, etc, and no laptops are allowed, so if you are bringing your bags so you can go directly to the airport, you can check them in a locker at the Eaton’s Centre (about a 10

minute walk from the consulate) in the basement at the back of the food court.

The airport bus stop is right down the street from the consulate.
