Hi - another couple of questions here. Can anyone tell me how far out you can schedule your embassy interview after filling out the DS-260 online? For example, could my husband fill it out this month, even if he doesn't want to do his interview until January? Or would it be better to wait to fill out the DS-260?

How recently can the I-864 be dated prior to the interview? My brother is going to be our joint sponsor - can he fill out and date the form in December if the interview won't be until January? (I ask this because my mom will be visiting us next month and could bring the form with her, rather than him having to mail it.)

Another question - If the interview is in January 2019, would the most recent tax year still be considered 2017? Or would it then be considered 2018?

Thank you for any assistance you all can provide!
