but i have my passport they told me  send the passport to us when u submit the sponsors information and gave me the instructions

Where is your embassy? For us, my hubby didn't get his passport returned. The embassy has his passport and he completed his finger printing. We submitted the sponsor paperwork in person at the embassy. They did received the documents last Wednesday, since the case status was updated the same day we turned in the paperwork.

This is exactly what I want to know. I really don't want to have to wait until the end of December to find out when the interview is 😕

It depends when the consulate sends the available appointments to NVC. We are waiting for an appt in Ciudad juarez, Mexico and they began scheduling appointments today for January

They started last few days of october to around November 16th for December interviews.

Thank you very much for clarifying. It looks like I'll have to wait until the end of December for a January interview then, because our case complete was 23rd November :(

Oh really? Interesting. I'm waiting for an interview date at the London Embassy. How do I find out the same info as you did for your Embassy?

January interviews should be scheduled up till mid December. End of December scheduling is for February interviews

Then that's good news! You and I just have to wait until the embassy completes the process. :)

You can look up fellow Vjers from your country and see how long it takes for interviews to be scheduled after case close

So the scheduling now (up to mid December) is of Case Complete dates up to November 16th, for interviews in January?

Therefore, as our Case Complete date is 23rd November, we likely won't be scheduled until early/mid January for an interview date in February?

Just checking I've understood.

I tried that and it seems there are so few recent ones that it's not very helpful.

Based on when you get your case close and your country's embassy availability will determine when you will be scheduled for an interview. No way to tell if you will get a December or January interview. You should check other vjers from your country to see what is the average wait time for your country

It's mostly just word of mouth. Info I've read here and on other forums. You can always call NVC and see if they are scheduling. If you've been given an appointment they can tell you over the phone

Thank you! 👍 I'll ask my attorney to call them as he's in the US.
