Hi,  how did your husband's interview go?

Currently talking to him now. He got there on time and wasn't interviewed till noon, and was the last one. An hour before he had his interview this status was updated with today's date still in AP,  been in ap since Nov 26th.

The interview was in English, only spent about 5 minutes talking.

They only asked him 5 questions:

When we met
Where we met
When did he seen me last time
What the I (the petitioner) does for a living (he got it partly right, but I think he forget to say I was a data entry specialist since that's what my tax papers say and my employment letter says. He went vaguely into the details of my job duties.)
What he does for  living

They didn't ask to see our evidence of relationship, chat log, call logs etc.  They also didn't take my original I-864 and the supporting documents. They probably saw the binder that was 4 inches thick and didn't want to deal with it. When I submitted our I-130  the package was about 3 inches thick. I was trying to prepare for a high fraud interview so there would be no questions.

Per Check list for Moscow it stated to bring the birth certificates of all his children, which they never asked for, got his daughters translated into English since it was written in Ukrainian. I think he said that since they are not currently moving here it wasn't really needed.

They took his birth certificate, passport, divorce certificates, he gave them his 1st divorce certificate that was issued his name, which is different compared to the one we submitted with the I-130 and NVC, we had the original copy that was issued to his ex wife. She gave us hers so we could send off the petition, and he thought he didn't need one in his name.... -.- They took our marriage certificate, and the officer that collected the documents questioned him if it was real since he was probably expecting it to be in Russian. Our marriage certificate has a raised seal, now I am wondering if I as to get an Apostille stamp on it.. which I shouldn't need it since I am dealing with the USA government and this was issued in the USA, it has the stamps and barcodes for when we got it and when I submitted to the courthouse to get the official copies with notarized saying it was real.

At the end, the interviewing officer told him that everything looks good, but they need to do some more background checks. He was given at the end of the interview a document listing his rights in the USA, and issued a 221g (I was already planning on this) asking for his resume (already submitted and got the confirm email), he works as an aerospace engineer, so STEM profession and with the conflict between Russia and the USA... sigh. I had mentioned long ago that he should have it ready to go in case. But he ignored it, so we are using his current resume he was going to use for job hunting over here. He had asked if they wanted the one he submitted for his B1 visa, then they questioned if had two very different types of resumes.  They kept his passport since he can't find it in his documents he got back, this was the 1st thing I had asked him when I woke up, and told him it was a really good sign.

And he was laughing at the fact I was stressing about updated our chat logs, which they didn't ask for, but was supplied with the i-130 since I front loaded that thing with as much stuff as I could.

Do you think the additional background checks are due to his profession? Because they didn't ask much questions. Seems as though they have everything else

He's had about 6 USA visas issued to him in the past (About 4 to his ukraine passport, now expired and we don't want to renew it yet,  and 2 to his russian passport, yes we listed all passports), all sponsored by his work and the company that he was going to have his meetings at.

He's had about 4 b1/b2 visas, 1 b1 and 1 J1 visa, after all their interviews they went into Administrative Processing for a month, and it would be issued. His last visa was issued in May 2017 after a month of AP, this is super common with his coworkers that have to get B1 visas.

That is a good sign! I know it's hard... The morning he messaged me saying "we need to talk" I knew immediately, we didn't get approved, YET! But with us too, they kept his passport. He already did his finger printing. Now, just waiting... It's been one week...

You and me, same... My hubby went for his interview and was told EXACTLY the same. So, we supplied another sponsor (my best friend) last week Wednesday, right before Thanksgiving, and we are still waiting for their response. It's been one week.
