After 8 years and 2 Months our priority date for Family based F3 (Married Children over 21 of USC) has been reached! I have waited for the visa bulletin to be updated on the 15th of each Month for the last 8 years. Hopefully we will now hear from the London Embassy who have had our case for 2 Months since it was forwarded from the NVC.

If anybody reading this is in a Family category and the wait seems endless, hang on in there. This is proof that there is an end to it.

I am happy that things are finally moving for you and your family.

Good luck

Janice and Jon

Thanks Janice and Jon. Unbelievably we received packet 4 this morning with an interview date of june 21st !! I have to phone and book the medicals next week, which for a family of five is going to cost over £1000.

good luck to you for a speedy resolution to your case.

Tucson..congrats. You are so lucky.

My USC mon petitioned for my married sister on 1996. Based on NVC visa bulletin, the current priority date for F3 from Philippines is 1985. So don't know how much longer. The priority date last Feb for F3 was 1991. I don't know why the priority date moved backwards.

Thanks Kim. I just checked the visa bulletin and see what you mean. I think that it means that F3 for the Phillipines is oversubscribed and only those whose priority date is before 1985 are classed as "current". I think that maybe the date will progress again from 1991 in the new fiscal year. I'm not sure about this, but it's how I see it. Anyway, it's very confusing and disheartening for you and your Sister. Tell her to hang in there and put it to the back of her mind. The time goes quickly really and it's not until you look back that you realise it went too quick!

Good luck.

Thanks Kang Lang. You will be okay. Just relax and let the process take it's course. It will all work out fine, I'm sure.

Good luck.

Hi Tucsonbound;

I just read your post and wanted to wish you good luck on the rest of your journey. I met my SO this year and wanted to go the K-1 route but his father had petition for him back in 2000 and his priority date has become current so we will wait for that to be reunited with each other. I will follow your progress and use that as a guide to get an estimate for his journey.

Congrats and good luck! :thumbs::thumbs:

Your VJ sis Claire
