I think someone is getting a little touchy. I've seen the other site and I wasn't impressed. But all this nonsense that's going on about it here is getting on my nerves. I don't understand what the issue is with having two immigration websites. I belong to another one, not the "forbidden one" but another one none the less. To each his own. It's not like I'm leaving VJ for the other site I'm a member of.

That's the question of the day... I don't see what the issue is either... and I think a lot of the people who went over there would have no problem being a full and contributing member of both communities... just like people are are members of both VJ and BE..

There is no cenceorship. That is just being said to stir up the pot. We blocked one site out of billions and even offered to unblock it if the owner of that site contacted us to explain what had happened. In any case please try and not make this into something it is not just to create drama.

It's not about different immigration websites, there are already lots of them out there. It's about something that supposedly happened with this specific one. We discussed it in chat with Ewok and others, and there is a thread about it in site discussion. There was supposed to be some resolve about the issue, but I guess it has not happened yet. Maybe it never will.

Bottom line.

We blocked a site for a TOS violation. We offered to unblock it if the owner were to call, email, or otherwise chat with me on the topic and explain what happened. For whatever reason they have not tried to contact us. That is it in a nutshell. It really is not that a big deal, honestly. :-\ I would love to resolve the specific issue but only with the owner of that site. Unless anyone here can speak for them then everything is speculation, etc..

In chat, he was able to say he made a mistake in locking Aussie's ID too quickly. He said he could be mistaken on other things as well.

If we all want to be treated like people doing a lot of work on VJ's behalf, then Ewok deserves the same because he has probably put more hours in than anyone on making VJ what it is.

I don't care if it sounds like I am defending Ewok, but if he says he is willing to chat to ppl to work it out, you have to give him credit. If you don't want to talk to him about it, than what can he do.

That is not the bottom line. That is one version of your truth, Steve.

You've blocked a site for political reasons. You didn't like the responses you got to your communication with aussiewench, so you banned her here and then pretended to resolve it, without answering her (by her reports).

Aussiewench says that she did email you this week, and I tend to believe her more than you at this point. She posted the contents of the letter she sent you, with her requests for you to at least attempt to undo the damage you did to her with the lies you've posted here as fact.

This isn't an issue to resolve only with her. You are closing all communication about a larger, related issue and refuse to allow a public discourse about this site which you own, but which exists through the help of every member here. Members feel like they've been lied to and to some extent, taken advantage of.

I've long defended you and your right to do whatever you like with the site and I never thought I'd live to see the day, but I understand now why other past members have felt the same way about you and asked to have their contributions removed from your site. By contributions, I mean Guides, FAQs, updates, example forms and other non-forum specific writings. And then of course, there are the forum contributions and the help you request from member-moderators.

You continuing to deny that there is a problem or issue other than your fabricated ones about ***removed*** doesn't make it truth, no matter how many times you continue to re-tell the story.

You'd fare a lot better if you simply came clean and told people here the truth, the real truth. You'd be amazed at how forgiving most people actually are.

Stina, I respect your level headed opinion as always.

This issue has actually hurt a great many people who put time into VJ. I am the least of them in my opinion. It piques the curiosity of others - I can do nothing about that.

It's just my way of handling things, I guess. I think it's best to get things out in the open when it involves a lot of people. All my life I have found that more beneficial than private, one-sided 'resolutions' that only involve one or two of the participants.

THat rumor again. Anyhow, have them email me at admin at visajourney dot com. I have a blackberry so I should in theory see every email and not miss anything. All other emails get blackholed for spam reasons. I am not sure what email they sent anything to. I wish I could give you server log access to show you this side of things. Meaux, I have been very straight forward on this entire issue. There will always be two sides to a story and I can not control the other. I know I can not make everyone happy all the time even though I try very hard. If you thnk that I do not work hard enough to make this site everything it can be to be the most helpful and useful to everyone out there than I understand. I do try my best however.
