Why are so many cases being transfered to CSC?

It seems like a lot of cases have been sent there lately-why?

Are things really that backed up everywhere else? I would think CSC is swamped now :blink:

I read in another post that a senator contacted the CSC about a particular case, and CSC said they are swamped right now! I would take an interview any day over waiting for them to sort through everything!

it seems like EVERYONE is being transfered there-which is kinda freaking me out :angry:

It was probably a quick fix a while ago, then they decided that they'd just send most of them there. I wonder when they'll revisit the idea of making the local offices process them.

10/23/2006 - I-129F approved (97 days from CSC)

03/03/2007 - Married!

03/14/2007 - I-485 + I-765 sent

03/21/2007 - NOA1, Checks cashed

06/01/2007 - EAD card production e-mail received (74 days)

07/27/2007 - EAD RECEIVED (57 days after approval)

11/29/2007 - Infopass appointment - file was sent to a storage facility before it was finished processing.

05/28/2008 - Received AOS Interview notice

07/10/2008 - AOS Interview-APPROVED pending fingerprints

09/22/2008 - GREEN CARD IN HAND!

Ours has been transferred there. I have not even seen a touch on our case since April 2nd which was before we sent the I-129F in. We got the receipts sent back to Will in the U.S. including the one that said our case has been transferred to CSC "to speed up the process".....but still no touches entered on the site and the only thing it shows they received is the I-130

I-130 Process

02-24-2007 | Marriage

03-21-2007 | mailed I-130 to Nebraska

04-05-2007 | Received NOA1

08-23-2007 | touched, wooohoooo (4.5 months later)

08-23-2007 | approved

Unsure | received NOA2

I-129F

04-09-2007 | mailed I-129F to Chicago

04-20-2007 | cheque cashed

04-23-2007 | Received NOA1 - advised it could take 60-180 days

to process

05-04-2007 | file transferred to California

05-08-2007 | touched

05-31-2007 | email received re: I-129F is pending at CSC

06-01-2007 | touched

08-23-2007 | approved and to be forwarded to NVC

Unsure | received NOA2

10-02-2007 | received letter dated 09-27-2007 from NVC stating they received it and would forward

to Consulate in Vancouver

10-09-2007 | emailed Consulate to advise of my new address in Canada

10-10-2007 | email received from the Consulate stating they received my file on 10-01-2007 and

mailed the package to me but would mail another that day to my new address.

10-11-2007 | received the original package that was mailed to my old address (forwarded by the post

office)

10-24-2007 l medical exam and faxed checklist to Consulate

10-25-2007 l interview date letter mailed to me by Consulate

10-29-2007 l email reply from Consulate advising they mailed the letter and my interview date is set for

my birthday, November 13, 2007

11-13-2007 l interview at 1:00 at Consulate. Verbal approval

11-14-2007 l picked up my visa....woohoooo

I get the feeling there is nothing "speedy" about CSC anymore.....I think it has become the opposite :unsure:

A friend of mine has her case transferred to CSC and got approved without interview after 44 days, she filed Feb 2007. And the husband is not in military service.. But most cases wait a bit longer than having an actual interview from their timelines..

I don't know what to wish for- but I am wishing for the better! :thumbs:

:dance: wooohoooo, let us hope for the best.....if worst comes to worst, the Governator is here in Vancouver sometime at the end of this month....I will find him and cry until he fixes things :crying:
