Do any of you guys know if the "extra security checks" are impacted by the government shutdown? My case has been pending security checks for a while.

I'm not for sure , but if I was to have to take an educated guess i would say the shutdown does effect the security check process. It was slow before the shutdown and now I think even slower if at all. Many folks and departments are shuttered.

Waiting for the summons to go out.

@Nov2017AD I hope you keep posting about the progress of your lawsuit.  A lawsuit is also the avenue we are considering after we cross the 1 year mark.  Knowing how your case progresses would help and encourage some of us stuck in this ridiculous and vague "Pending Security Check" status.  306 days and counting...

I filed pro se so the court should issue summons on my behalf so waiting for it to be approved. Should be soon? I think because of the government shutdown FBI workers currently not working so even more delays on security checks...yay...

The status of this service request is:

Your case is currently delayed because the required security checks are still pending. We cannot make a decision on your case until we receive the results of these security checks.

Yes they transfer to Vermont  when they have to run  a further deeper background checks. They found something  and they want to check deeper is my understanding.
