hi guys,

my 130 is in vermont center since Feb., 2013 and I am still waiting for approval. Is there anyone in the same condition? I am so frustrated that it takes such a long time to process the I-130.

Is there anything I can do? Many thanks for any advice.

Some guy with PD of June 2013 has already got the welcome letter from NVC

That's weird it's taking so long. Our PD is 8/13 and we received our NOA-2 in 12/13 even after an RFE. All you can do is call them, but that's unlikely to resolve anything. But your priority dates are still good though.

We are the poster children for chain migration!

That's because your service center was California? California center is faster than vermont.

It is slow at Vermont center. So frustrating!

I am totally with you on this. why is vermont center so slowwww? In another post, someone with PD Feb 2014 has already got his welcome letter and begun to go through NVC process. One weired thing is that the case summary shows one update on 12/07/2014. However I don't know what is updated for my case. what does it say in your case status?

It says exactly same as yours "Your case was received"  I know another person who filed in March 2013 and his says the same.  Someone on here reported few months back with priority date of Oct 2012 at Vermont center got approved. I believe they have put cases aside and will touch them once priority date gets close. I think that is what happening... because they are backlogged in other cases and other cases such as DACA etc took preference. So frustrating. When you call them, they don't give you a specific answer...its always a general answer. Nothing we can do, just wait.

What matters is the Priority Date.  There are reasons that cases get done sooner such as the petitioner changing from LPR to USC.  Final Actions dates according to the Jan 2019 Visa Bulletin:

Family-
Sponsored
All Chargeability
Areas Except
Those Listed
CHINA-mainland
born
INDIA MEXICO PHILIPPINES
F1 22AUG11 22AUG11 22AUG11 01AUG97 01MAR07
F2A 08NOV16 08NOV16 08NOV16 15OCT16 08NOV16
F2B 15MAR12 15MAR12 15MAR12 08JUN97 22JUN07
F3 15AUG06 15AUG06 15AUG06 22DEC95 22JUL95
F4 22MAY05 22MAY05 15JUN04 08FEB98 01SEP95

Sure the Center can get it out earlier but it will sit at the NVC until the priority date.
