i wrote it in our depressing little thread

but i wanted to have a happy one :blush:

it's been a very long few years, and it finally happened.

thank you to everyone who has listened to be b*tch and helped us along the way :)

my husband is leaving work in a few to go over-night my passport :) they even said they'll send it back the next day. but it's a long weekend. but i don't care, lol. it's finally happened :blush:

we're still keeping our camping trip this weekend since they're closed (and i've been packed since our interview 6 weeks ago really, lol) , but we're celebrating instead of getting away from it all :dance:

time to start sending my portfolio again to jobs :whistle:

Dont forget the champagne!!!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied,that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

You know, I had to read this twice because I was so stunned. I thought for sure I was reading it wrong. I wonder if that CO really did get hit by a truck like I had wished for her? Ooops. Did I say that in my outside voice?

i guess i should be getting offline, eh? lol. i'm still digesting it all. i'm afraid if i move or something this will all be a dream :thumbs:

we just told his mom (one of my best friends) and she was at the store and just burst out crying right there she was so happy :blush:

he told his best friend and he's all ready to drink and celebrate (and happy he doesn't have to come to canada for another one of my husband's birthdays in a couple weeks, lol)

That's great! I got my interview date set finally at Montreal too.

Someone must have light a fire under Montreal's #######!

lol, it's about time they got their act together. for us and for everyone in general :) i wonder if my father-in-law calling washington few days ago helped her to realize my husband and i are real people :blush:
