My fiancee has his interview on Wednesday, I always thought you couldnt bring any electronics but in his preparation email it does state you can bring a mobile phone.

Has anyone had any experience with this? Can you bring cellphone and charger?

Thanks

No. That's pretty clear in the interview instructions.

No it is NOT clear. In our interview instructions it says you can bring a mobile - that is why im asking.

You can bring a cell phone in but it has to be on silent or off. Don't have it on in the actual interview obviously. You cannot bring a charger in or headphones. Any wires or cables are not permitted.

Edit: Sorry that was advice for the Interview in the USA. My husband interviewed in London embassy and he told me that he could bring his phone in. He had it off though. Your phone won't be taken away. However, don't bring luggage with you or anything to the embassy because you can't bring that in. You can bring a small bag. You can't bring any liquid or large electronic devices.

You're welcome! I thought at first you were referring to an interview in the US but the same rules apply. I edited my post for more details from what my husband said about the London interview. Hope that helps! Good luck :)

Thank you ! Does he remember if he could bring his phone charger at the London Embassy? Or does the wire rule still apply?

Thanks (:

He doesn't remember but he doesn't think he brought it. He had the hotel hold all of his luggage and basically just brought his paperwork. We just went the the USCIS office for his AOS interview and wires weren't allowed so I would assume they probably aren't allowed at the embassy either. I wouldn't risk it.
