This entire USCIS system is Asinine! I realize why there is such a big immgration problem here in the U.S. Because USCIS is full of Idiots and Liars!

I applied for a fiance visa (I129F) in MAY OF 2006, and just now I received my IMBRA RFE. It took them a year to send these documents. Why the hell did it take them a year to send my IMBRA? Not only did it take them a year but they sent it to the wrong adress! I called USCIS in December to change my address and I have documentation proving this. Yet, these Idiots still send it to my old adress! I later called today and they tell me they can no longer do it over the phone, it must be done online or I have to setup an info pass appointment. Unbelievable!

In March of 2007, my paperwork was transferred again. Same service center but different adjucticator. You can say, it was transferred from one Idiot to a bigger Idiot! My congressman had informed me that it was transferred to a supervisor. Why? After 10 months with one Adjucticator it was transferred to another? What, the first Adjucticator cant read??? Friggin, Idiots!

Did you ever contact Durbin's office? I would have thought the case would have been closed by now. . . I would call Durbin's downstate office.

I'm not too surprised with this. The service centers are not staffed with the brightest or the best, but with just a bunch of bureaucrats interested in keeping their job. The time line for yours is way out of the norm so it sounds like someone misplaced the file and finally found it. Hopefully you have responded quickly back to them on the RFE.

I had something similiar happen to me. I wrote asking it there was anything else they needed. What a big mistake. They pulled the file to insert my letter, then placed it at the back of the line. Later the file was misplaced. My time line on that application was 9 months. I really sympathized with your plight and your patience should finally be rewarded. In most cases, after you are out of the service center, the level of service improves.

You should wait until you get the NOA2 then write a letter to the head of the service center where the entire thing got screwed up. Ask them for an explanation of the long delay. Make sure you send a copy to the director of the USCIS and your congressman or senator. The copies will insure that a letter gets written to you.

Don't expect anything but excuses of overworked, backlogs, etc. The service centers don't take responsibility for anything.

Agreed, they are complete idiots. The bureaucracy is astounding. I applied for an Employment Authorisation Document in February of this year. They received this app and sent notice to me in the wrong name. I called them to inform them they had the wrong name, and after 10 minutes of getting through to the robot at the call center I didnt want to cancel the application, simply change the name to my correct spelling (Which had they bothered to check the many forms of ID sent WITH the application, they could of picked this up themselves). Anyway, 4 months later, my Employment card comes through, in the WRONG NAME! They never even changed it after the phone call!

I tried to contact various people at USCIS about this, all of them said I had to RESUBMIT the application, so im right back at the end of the line! Its unbelievable. I had an immigration interview recently, and the interviewer rather condescendingly said "The government is very big you know, of course they are going to make mistakes". Ill give them that, but come on, CHECK THE ID, and when I Phone in to change it 3 months ago ACTUALLY CHANGE THE DAMN THING!! Dont just hang up and forget the call ever took place.

Idiots Idiots Idiots!
