If it was someone I spent time with then I would definitely tell them. And I'd say it straight out.

I would just say out of the blue..." Soap and water is cheap " and give one of my famous ' looks '.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

I think I'd be too embarrassed to tell them .. and probably they are aware of it.

For some, it' not that they don't shower or use deodorant... they need to see a doctor because they need to get some stronger deodorant. The regular kind won't work.

I work with a guy that reeks to high heaven whenever I am within 10 feet of him indoors. He has some sort of peridontal disease as far as I can tell (smell). Working outside in subtropical climate on the Gulf of Mexico as I do, I know BO when I encounter it from co-workers. That is normal considering our working conditions. This is a whole other odor above and well beyond the threshhold level. BO is roses compared to this. His teeth look like someone took a hammer to them, that is the reason I believe the smell is due to peridontal disease.

The company we work for recently was sold and I was discussing the new dental insurance policy of our new employer with him. He told me that he once tried to go to a dentist, but when the dentist started poking around in his mouth it was so painful that he hit the dentist. They exchanged profanities at each other and the dentist kicked him out of his office. He hasn't been back to try again.

I usually stay clear of the guy when possible, but we work on a 2 man petroleum production facility and I'm stuck with him for a week. Fortunately the living quarters is big enough and I have my own bedroom. The hour long helicopter ride home from crew change this afternoon was especially brutal since the cabin is so cramped. Even with the windows open at 120 mph it was an ordeal. It stunk pretty bad and the other passengers had puzzled looks on their faces, but said nothing. We have good insurance and we are paid well, I don't know why the guy won't get medical treatment.

I will never say anything to this guy. If he doesn't realize he has such an obvious a problem, there is not much more I can do but keep my distance.

Every year I get older I think life can't get any more weirder...but it never ceases to amaze me that it does.

"Credibility in immigration policy can be summed up in one sentence: Those who should get in, get in; those who should be kept out, are kept out; and those who should not be here will be required to leave."
