Would you tell someone if they had body odor?

There was a person I used to work with that had strong BO. He was the son of a friend of mine. The boss eventually told him about his problem as he got so many complaints about it. It worked for a little while, then he went back to being smelly again. I think I would prefer someone else to tell the person, unless it was a family member then I wuold tell them myself. Thankfully none of my family stink, lol. What would you do?

i said yes but that wasnt exactly true, i guess i would if close friend or family but i have known bosses that have had to talk to people before

Yes and no. If it was a complete stranger I smelled in passing I wouldn't bother. If it were someone I had to deal with regularly then yes, I'd say something.

If it was a stranger then I probably wouldn't say anything to them. If it was a family member, friend, or coworker I would. My sister once bought some deoderant and bath suppplies and gave them to a coworker as a gift because her boss wouldn't say anything to the guy.

I have a colleague who is foisty as **, but I don't know how to tell him.

I was speaking to another colleague who brought it up & I was like 'eh whatever' & he was like 'well he's European, can't be suprised'

I voted yes I would tell but that is if my hubby is the one who is smelling.. I wouldn't have the guts to tell anybody else...

I usually don't take those things upon myself. If I were the only one who noticed, then I might leave some sort of anonymous note.

If it's my partner, I tell him within 5 seconds of contact.

There used to be a nurse that worked with me and my God did she stink! No one had the guts to say anything to her so they started buying plugins and we even put stick ups under her chair. Well, the day came where one of those stick ups feel out from under her chair, she got her feelings hurt and she quick. I felt bad, but her feelings would have been hurt if someone told her she stunk too.
