What is the cost of the interview/visa and how/when do I pay for it once we get a our new case number and my fiance's schedules the interview? She also has a 13 year old son. Do I have to pay for both?

Yes. The same deposit slip for them. $530.She can find it on the website of the USA consulate also she might receive a letter from NVC 1 month later. If she wants to pre-active ,she needs to email or call the service of the USA consulate in her country to ask them add her  email address in their system then she can get an epackage 3 from them soon.. There's an instruction about the steps.I think she needs to file out DS160 first for herself and her kid (separately ). Don't submit too early.But it only has 30 days experation except to save it to the computer. She can also fill in the DS160 via smart phone.Also shhe needs to create a profile on the CEAC website. As soon as she creates the DS160, she'll have the confirmation number to make a visa fee slip. That's what we do here.
