Utterly unfair indeed. It's like they're completely unaware that they're dealing with people's lives.

We're just a number for them! 😢 *read with hyper dramatic voice*

Maybe we should send LOTS of family pictures, moving stories and a poignant soundtrack to make them emotional and feel compelled to work hard on our cases.

I moved here 6 years ago and I got a feel for the immigration vibe right away. When I was having my interview for the F-1 visa. A guy beside me said that he is going to study in MIT and has an I-20 and blah blah blah for a PhD. Then the lady goes like do you know anyone in the US. He said I met this person through like an MIT community which is a fellow PhD student and that they will be roommates and blah blah blah. Because the person was a female his F-1 was denied on the spot. They gave him a piece of paper that said what the next steps are and that you should apply in the future and blah blah. When i got outside the embassy the dude was crying his eyes out. Can you imagine all the time spend all the studying all the pain to get in the MIT and then boom gone because of an assumption. Like that dude will had to get married to stay? He would be sponsored by any company in his field for a green card. Just doesn't make sense.

Hehehe same here. I sent mine Nov 6, but according to the USPS tracker it didn’t get delivered until Nov 13, but on my NOA’s it says recieved Nov 9.

Same here mine actually the receipt says NOV 6th. The tracker says Nov 13. I think the tracker loves November 13th.

That sounds horrifying!

I wonder if they ever feel some sort of guilt about deciding on such critical matters.

I know right! I was actually starting to get worried because I sent it priority mail and should have arrived in Chicago Nov 8, but Nov 8 came and the tracker says that it’s on its way to a facility or something, and it was like that No 9 and 10, the last place on the tracker was Kansas.

I don't think they do. In every job maybe in the beginning you feel some guilt but everyone gets desensitized as time goes by like a freaking robot.

You haven't gotten back a NOA letter?

How complete is the information that you downloaded from the app? I have been tracking the 500 cases before mine, and I have observed that cases that change to "New card is being produced" or " Card was mailed to me" frequently lose the "I-765" or "I-485" tag, making them indistinguishable. For example, right now, from those 500, 40 have been "approved" overall, but when you go to specific categories and add the total amount of approved among all of them there are only 5 cases right now (only 1 is EAD, but a couple of days ago there were 9). Does the same happen when you download the data? Because that could explain why numbers are much lower than expected since the approved cases "disappear".

I didn't use the app data. I was going to at first, but I got about 6,500 records and then I got a ddos on the app and it wouldn't let me search anymore. I used http://www.mycasetracker.org instead and just went to the "Search by Receipt". Now, part of their disclaimer is "By hitting the submit button or reading the graphs and/or tables on this website, you agree that the accuracy of any of the data and graphs is not guaranteed", so no matter what I use, the data is going to be somewhat sketchy. It came down to a personal preference in what to use and I decided that if it can be prepped for me so I don't waste days sanitizing the data, then I'd rather save myself some sanity and risk it. I also noticed that some case types were falling off, but I can't remember if it displayed in the exported data I sent to myself before I decided to go a different route.

I agree. Back in the day when I applied for a tourist visa, I met a woman that’s was there to also apply for a tourist visa. She got an invitation from her niece that was getting married in New Jersey if I remember it rights, she has all supporting documents that show that her niece will be providing for her while she is there. Well she got denied, the woman was in her late 50’s early 60’s, she said the person who interviewed her didn’t even ask for any documents or paper work. I don’t really get how they decide which one gets a visa or not. Back then there is a lady who works at the US embassy in Manila that is notorious for rejecting people’s application, that sometimes she would ask one question and just deny you right away. I get that they need to make sure everything is real with regards to the person applying but even if that person gets a visa they are still not guaranteed that they will be allowed to enter the US, because there are people who obviously just made it airport to airport and got turned around.

Yeah, you're right and it is sad. They might even get trained on being not emotional at all.

And who knows how things are in those offices; it could either be a friendly environment or a highly hostile one. It's a mystery.

Meanwhile we'll keep waiting in the dark, rooting for November filers and hoping for the best.

I am getting so pissed off with how long this ####### is taking. I'm due to fly out to the UK in June/July with @rrobin0609. I'm extremely tempted to expedite. Both my parents are midway through some pretty major surgeries right now. Think they'll allow an expedite for that? They aren't in the best of health at the moment. I haven't got a clue how to expedite at this point.

Sorry to hear about your parents; I really do hope you hear some news soon. :(  I'm not sure about the expediting part; though expediting the AP is much harder than the EAD from some things I've read

Okay, pulled 500,000 cases and looked at AOS, EAD, and AP only. The data ranges from mid-September to mid-January. I created 5 data sets of 100,000 case range to help break up the data and make it a little more useful than a blob of 500,000. It wouldn't let me go any further back than case MSC1990000001.

Based on data trends, AOS looks to be going a little faster than EAD, and AP is crawling slowly. EAD has the most cases per data set, which isn't surprising to me at all. AP has the least amount (between 15,000 and 16,000 per set). There doesn't look to be any extraordinary amounts of approvals in AOS or EAD. I would say that 4-5% of everyone is getting some form of RFE on their AOS; however, I do expect that to increase across the others since nearly 10% have gotten some form of one in the first 100,000 cases.

I'll try and update this data once a week to see how things are trending. I'll create new pie charts, and since I'll have a the old data as well as the new, some sort of graph showing the difference between the weeks. I probably wont post any AP graphs unless I start seeing dramatic changes on them.

(lol. sorry if they are all different sizes)

This is super awesome!!!! It gives me something to visualise that mine is the last pie chart in the right hand corner. There isn’t much happening when I do scans on old app!! The charts are interesting to look at. I can’t thank you enough @rrobin0609 ☺️

Thank you, I hope we all hear something soon. This timeline is ridiculous. Afaik it costs £95 for a marriage visa for the UK, and 2-12 weeks for approval. The US process is so convoluted. I get that it's a lot of cases to process, but when we pay the high costs we are with no ability to work I would expect better.

I am very salty about this today too 😂
