I’ve been following October Filers (as we actually filed in October) and It looks like they have been working on October pretty hard.

I dont think they've started October really yet. I do a scan of the same 500 case numbers from my date (October 22nd) everyday and I'd say on average they are touching 2 EAD cases per day for that 500 scan. And that's only 500 cases from the 22nd. I predict there are anywhere from 900 to 4500 EAD applications for each week day of the month.

Day 137 and still nothing for us yet. Crossing fingers for perhaps a few AP/ EAD approvals to November filers this week! 😊

Well, i found this statistics on EAD cases and there is plenty of October and November EAD approvals. Am I getting it wrong? https://www.visajourney.com/timeline/eadlist.php?cfl=&op1=app&op2=&op3=&op4=1&op5=4,7,11,12&op6=&op8=All

* Just feeling so pessimistic today *

Just reading through last night comments and the fact they have barely got most of October down is a scary concept. I was kinda fooling around with numbers on scans in old app and seen quite a few late September filers not approved either. They definitely do not approve in their "first come, first served" basis.

I don't want to sound negative about NBC but I can only predict their processing times to increase much further to 5-7 months and being inundated with loads more case inquiries as they clearly can't keep up the demand/back log. But I feel they can't cry wolf as they are aware of the situation. I just feel it needs managed much better and I feel they need to disperse cases out amongst other processing centers.

And then my thinking is we have Dec filers who I would assume be due to be possibly touched some stage next month as some of the earliest filers hit their so proclaimed 'normal processing times'.

Hugs to you! Hopefully it isn't as dire as the statistics make it out to be, and hopefully they get a rocket up their backsides. It's tough to see any end in sight at the moment, but it's still only March - I think you are right and once we hit April we might see some serious movement. Maybe in many cases the EAD status DOESN'T update once interviews have happened, that could account for some of the numbers?

What I think you're forgetting is that VJ only reports the stats for VJ members AND for VJ members that actually update their timeline.

There could be up to 40,000 to 60,0000 EAD applicants per month (1000 to 4500 PER date of application) that USCIS is processing while VJ may only have 5 or so members that share the same date of application.

So if you think about it, 50 to 100 approvals for one month is only one drop in the pond of 40,000 to 60,000 actual applications in one month.

I am right there with you at this point our local office seems to be very fast and i am looking forward for the interview to be scheduled within April. EAD is a waste of time they might never approve it.

Buh, I shouldn't look at the timelines for other people going through the Jacksonville office. A couple of people who filed their AOS after us have already got their interviews booked, which makes me anxious. @_@

So, how long should I wait for the ssn in the mail before I call the cavalry or lose my mind? I got my combo card last Tuesday.

I would say give it a few weeks. You could always call SSA and ask if there is a pending application for you.
