Seen  movement around mid Nov today. Not sure if mid-November filer's want to scan today if not already as the approvals are kinda near each others numbers. Seen 7 approvals so far. No movements near my date 11/23 but hopeful April time (if before, even better)

April, April, April I'm praying for you and for all us waiting ❤️

I'm wondering if they're doing what they did for K1s last year; going through and lightly working on various days in the month before they start on the month properly? So they'll reach the last day of November and then plow on through it properly in April

We filed our AOS on November 19th and today we had the following update:

”As of March 21st, 2019, we are ready to schedule your form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status (insert case number) for an interview. We will schedule your interview and send you a notice.”

I haven’t received my EAD or AP yet but from what I’ve read, this is perfectly normal and it will take several months for an interview is that right?

Yup, perfectly normal. It depends on your office, it can take anywhere from a few weeks to over a year before your interview is scheduled.

Hi everyone,

I've been following this thread for a few weeks already, but never posted anything, but decided to share my progress because I couldn't find similar cases.
A little background, I moved to NYC in 2015 on the F1 visa. In 2016 after I graduated, I applied and got approved on the OPT-F1, so I could work for 12 months. And on 2017, after my OPT was done, I got approved on my O1 visa for 3 years.
I got married last August and sent my application for the AOS as a concurrent filling in the end of November, PD is 11/23 and the notice date is 11/28.
On the same 11/28, I got an update that my "Fingerprint Fee was Received"... and that was it.
Until today I haven't got any other update, and still haven't done my biometrics.
Is anyone here still waiting for the biometrics appointment too?

One side note, I went back to Brazil last June to get my O1 visa stamp in my passport, so I had to take my biometrics there for it. I wonder if since they took my biometric in such a recent time, it's already in the system and that explain why I haven't got any notice?

Hey!!

I don't have any knowledge to provide assistance of F1-O1-AOS through family. Maybe someone will respond with more thorough info whether that's through deeper research/personal experience similar to yourself.

Did you enquire with USCIS or get an infopass to enquire with your local FO? I have read online there that in the past some people have obtained an EAD combo without biometrics and it states that 'no finger prints' available. However, I'm not sure how accurate that would be. IMO I would of thought biometrics was a requirement but could be wrong. I'd definitely check it out for sure.

On the other end, you have the same received date as me 11/23 :)

I would hope that would be the case. There just seems to be no patterns to approvals and I feel like they are all over the place.

Maybe the more productive officers are working on November maybe? I do think they will plow through November in April as I think the earliest December filers will be within their 'normal processing times' as of mid-April just scraping 4.5 months. So they gotta get their skates on I would think :)

Trying to make sense of their madness is probably driving me mad, but I think we'll see late November approvals next week; around your date maybe, and then we will hopefully see a dramatic increase the following week from all over the shop...and some early December approvals either that week or the following.

I have no idea if that makes any sense. 😂 But yes, they need to get their skates on. ;)

I agree with jakejon, you should inquire, maybe your biometrics notice got lost. Getting your fingerprints taken on the border is not the same as biometrics.  I think you can ask about missing mail at egov.uscis.gov.

I don't know any specifics about F1/O1 AOS but I am doing J1/H1B AOS and the process is still the same than for the K1: submit the package, get the biometrics appointment in 1-2 months and then wait and wait...

My PD is 12/05 and my status is the same as yours, but I did have my biometrics appointment in January (a week after getting back in the country and being "fingerprinted" at the border).

I'm heading to Portland next week (I'm so excited as I love Portland) and definitely want to take my mind off it as it's driving me crazy with constant checking!!

Thanks for the replies guys! jakejon, that's nice! Where's your case at? MSC too?

I can't get an infopass here in NY, the field office page says the office doesn't take any walk-ins or appointments for Infopass. I just sent a request about missing mail, should get an answer mid April, so we shall see.
And about the fingerprints at the border, yes, I did that as well, but what I was saying is that when I was in Brazil last June, I had to go to the US embassy to do my biometrics there, and interview, because I got my O1 approved while in the US, so I didn't have the visa in my passport yet to get back.

RE: those online mail inquires , it shouldn't take longer than a few weeks for them to get back to you. I've had it where they responded to me within a few weeks, but I've also had it where they assigned the service request and then an hour later unassigned it and it's still sat there past the date.
