Hi...

Please, always remember to update your timeline when you get a positive feedback, especially EAD from USCIS. It helps us all.

Thank you.

Oh that would be awesome if you had your GC before EAD/AP. For me, I know it won't be this year more than likely as it's currently 15-19 months for Vegas. I'm more than happy with the combo for the next year. The GC can come whenever!

In terms of the medical, I understand! I had a big argument with the lawyers secretary telling us our medical for the K1 was irrelevant and we would need another one. But I'll leave that for the GC interviewing agent. I don't think it's needed but if I get told I must have another I'll raise the fact I had one done for the K1 but obviously re-do it if required.

My medical wasn't too bad and she didn't hold back in saying I was overweight. I was like jeez, at least say that less harshly!! She was like you do realise you have arched feet? I was like "oh no way!!" - it's not as if I have never realised that LOL!! :P

Wasn't bad in London tbf.

OMG! That doesn't sound nice!

In my case, I found the personnel at the clinic, rather cold. When arriving they told me the documents I had on me were the wrong ones and took some arguing and waiting to get them performing the medical. The fact that I slept like 2 hours and had to leave at 4am to arrive on time, didn't help. 😕

Truly hope you get the EAD/ AP soon. And maybe you get lucky with an early interview! 😊

Haha my doctor complimented me on my weight and said he doesn't see a healthy weight often anymore. Neither do I after sitting on my ### for months and eating American food. 😂😂

I didn't realize I had to be naked for the X-ray, it was 2 weeks after my breast augmentation and I was bruised all over, kind of an awkward moment lol.

Omg! He was deployed!?!? That sounds rough! Is he at Beale? I saw that we are both schedule for the 10th in Sacramento, so it only makes sense. Almost there!!!!

Travis! We got lucky with a short deployment, less than 4 months. Good luck with your interview!! What time is yours?

Edit; sorry for double posting, couldn't figure out how to do 2 quotes in 1 post on mobile 😬

My wife's EAD changed to new card being produced, nothing on the AP side.

Nice! I haven’t even received that yet.  We sent ours in on Nov 2.  EAD is steady at finger print received on Dec 6.  We had an RFE I wonder if that has anything to do with it.

The only thing that has changed so far is the GC status.  It’s changed to ready to schedule interview last week.

EAD status changed to “new card is being produced” on March 15th. My case was received Nov 9th 2018. No change on AP yet.

My Application for Travel Document changed to "Case Was Approved" on March 18th. :)  Case was also received on Nov 9th.

Just checked my VJ timeline and it's finally within April (23-30th) - late April of course! At least, I see no more early May predictions (at the moment LOL). Received date 11/23.

Provides some hope I guess! :)

What's the most common question/statement you've heard about this immigration process from family/friends?

I think mine is "Can you vote on a Greencard?" (Which is obviously a no!)

Oh! And even trying to explain it to US citizens who have no idea lol!! Mine don't ask that much! I set my expectation on May but grateful enquiry date is end of May-I think I'll be an unlucky one :P

That's one I get quite often too! Along with the "Any news?"

I'm sure you won't be one of the unlucky ones; April will be your month I'm sure! :D

Explaining to US Citizens who have no idea is a PITA; trying to avoid saying the words "out of status" or "expired" is a nightmare - I've had some funny looks from people before! And even then, most people don't understand that you can't just go ahead and work, or that resident does not mean citizen...

Before starting the process, I was probably exactly the same UK end! Still a little frustrating though
