If I had to confess my fears it would be that they will increase processing to 5-7 months. I really, really, really hope they don't and that we all get processed next month. I know my timeline shows end of april/May 1st as latest prediction. I'm ok with that as i don't think ill rush out as i promised my sister in law id babysit her kids over their summer break. i just want it badly so i can book a trip to the UK for september time before it starts increasing dramatically end of may (when my enquiry period will be). fingers crossed it comes for me before enquiry time and of course for all you guys way before that ❤️

I have my fingers crossed that your EAD/AP will come way before May! We seem to be getting a fair amount of November approvals at the moment - which, considering VJ is only a small portion of visas is really quite exciting.

I'm currently torn between wanting my EAD right meow, and wanting it to be delayed at least another week so I can at least get my taxes sent off and my ITIN processed before my EAD and SSN show up. 😂 It'd be my luck that there'd be issues with processing my ITIN because my SSN had been approved.

As our local office is one of the "fast" ones, I'd love to get interview and GC before EAD/AP. I still have that hope.

My biggest fear is getting an interview in over a year and having the agent telling me I need another medical. Besides the cost -which I dread-, I found it to be an awful experience.

There aren't any EAD cases around ours that have anything over than "case was received". Scrolling much further down the list there are several rejected cases due to improper fees, and one case that has been approved.

Matt moved here mostly because I had a better paying job than him. He was working in a pub's kitchen and was making a little more than a third of what I make currently. I did apply to several jobs based in the UK, but many companies aren't willing to sponsor an immigrant in any country if they can find someone who fits the bill and doesn't have to be sponsored. About 9 months after starting my job, I was in a one-on-one meeting with my then manager and I broke down in tears because I felt bad I was working all the time and I never felt like I had time for Matt. He asked if I would ever consider transferring to the office my company has in Dublin, or the one they have in London and let me know if that's something I wanted to do he'd be right there helping me get there. He has a Romanian girlfriend that lives and works in Australia so lucky for me he knew my pain. He was able to work with me so that I could switch a few extra hours that his boss was having us work during the middle of the week to a weekend when Matt was working.

My parents wouldn't have minded if I moved (my older sister moved to Spain about 6 or 7 months ago and they are perfectly cool with it), but its not an arrangement that I wouldn't have wanted to have for more than 5-7 years probably. My mom told me that I can move away, but I have to be in America to give birth to her grandchildren my kids. Maybe moving to the UK is something we'll do in the future, but right now it is what it is. If Matt's parents ever wanted to move here, we could sponsor them easily and would do so without hesitation. If Matt and I moved to the UK, my parents would use it as an excuse to also see their AFS daughters in Barcelona and Sanluri, but they wouldn't follow us.

Understanding bosses are awesome. ❤️ Mine wants to keep me working for them, even though I'm now five hours behind (or four, at present!).

My mum is pleased I moved to the US; not because she wants rid of me, but because it means a cheap holiday getaway for her! She's considering following me once my sister is settled in the UK, though. My dad, on the other hand, is probably likely to stay in sunny Wales with his new wife! Probably for the best, otherwise I'd have to stay with my sister when I visit...

I think you'd be okay, even if your medical was over a year from submission date - because they already have it! ❤️

That is beyond awesome your bosses want to keep you despite time difference! That speaks volumes to the asset you must have been!! ❤️

Oh that would be awesome if you had your GC before EAD/AP. For me, I know it won't be this year more than likely as it's currently 15-19 months for Vegas. I'm more than happy with the combo for the next year. The GC can come whenever!

In terms of the medical, I understand! I had a big argument with the lawyers secretary telling us our medical for the K1 was irrelevant and we would need another one. But I'll leave that for the GC interviewing agent. I don't think it's needed but if I get told I must have another I'll raise the fact I had one done for the K1 but obviously re-do it if required.

My medical wasn't too bad and she didn't hold back in saying I was overweight. I was like jeez, at least say that less harshly!! She was like you do realise you have arched feet? I was like "oh no way!!" - it's not as if I have never realised that LOL!! :P

Wasn't bad in London tbf.

That's how I imagine our file: forgotten in a box inside a dark room, abandoned forever. 😭 Am I dramatic? 😆

Probably, because each day of the month has anywhere from 1000 to 4000 I765 applications. Doubtfully it's sitting alone anywhere.

You wont. If you filed your I485 within one year of your overseas medical date, it will never expire.

I'm Day 115 today.

For us personally, my preference would have been the other way about as I wanted Jake to come to the UK first for a few years. We explored that avenue and decided on the balance of everything, such as the fact he had an apartment, good job, more financial obligations than I had. so after weeks of debate that it'd be better for me to come to the US. I wanted to do the CR-1 and Jake wanted to do the K1 - again more debate....but here were are LOL!!

The UK's process is somewhat similar but much faster (obviously as it's a much smaller country).

same situation as mine 😁

I truly don’t understand why people are so anxious about receiving green card as soon as possible. Your main goal is to collect and generate joint assaults. More time you have before the actual interview than more documents and other evidence you can show to USCIS. As a result, more than likely, your case will be approved. I would be more nervous to go to the interview without any joint bank account statements,  health insurance cards etc.

They're quite forgiving if you've just come over on a K1; after all, you've already done the evidence stage before you even got into the US - and many people can't get evidence because of a lack of SSN or other information needed to go on a lease. You don't need as much evidence initially; it'll be at the removal of conditions stage that they want a ton of paperwork.

Most interviews you see on here, the officer hasn't even requested anything, or maybe just looked at a few photos.

Also, I assume you mean evidence, not assaults? 😛

Yeeeees, sure. Definitely, I meant evidence. Sorry. 😂still difficult for me to find nescessary words to communicate. Agree 100%
