Any VJ members from N.J./NY get their EAD/AP yet?

My wife's EAD changed to new card being produced, nothing on the AP side.

I feel you. I want my combo card/green card so bad, just for the SSN so I can get my driver's license! I don't need to work and I'm not sure I would start working right away to be honest, I just want to be able to drive dammit!! 😬

While my husband was deployed I basically spent months inside the house 😪

Omg! He was deployed!?!? That sounds rough! Is he at Beale? I saw that we are both schedule for the 10th in Sacramento, so it only makes sense. Almost there!!!!

My turn for a tax question! :P

I know all states have their own tax laws to an extent, but I wondered if anyone could help me out with understanding if I need to report foreign bank account interest on State tax returns? We've already declared it on our federal tax return as it falls under worldwide income etc. But, for the State I was really unsure how it works, especially when you become a resident in the state half way through the year? (Part-year resident?)

So as an example, say I 'earned' $50 in interest from my bank account in the UK throughout 2018. On the federal tax return, I just declare all $50. Simple enough. However, for the state return, do I also do that even though that earned interest wasn't earned in the state? Or, does the state start counting from when you become a resident. So for example, if you move to the U.S. half way through the year, I would pay the amount of interest gained once I physically became a resident of the state? (for example, $25 out of the $50 counted as state income?). Or, third option, am I not meant to include that $50 as part of the state income whatsoever?

I've probably made this tricker than it sounds but this state tax stuff seems more complicated than the federal!

Any tips appreciated as always :D

My husbands card changed to card is being produced for ead how many days after it changes until it comes normally?

Congrats! Most I think get their EAD combo's relatively quick after getting approved. Some take a few days, some a week but should be relatively quick regardless.

Out of curiosity, what is your PD? :)

Ughhhhh my obsessive checking intensifies; my receive date is the 9th too (although we actually physically posted out our application on the 10th so I don't even know how it is possible but.)

03/10/21 - Sent ROC paperwork to Phoenix, AZ | USPS 2-Day Shipping

EAD status changed to “new card is being produced” on March 15th. My case was received Nov 9th 2018. No change on AP yet.

Nov 9

Oooh! We have a "Case Was Received" date of November 9th! I hope that means good news is just around the corner. My husband was working on updating his CV last night to follow the standard resume guidelines I was taught by my university a few years back. Once he gets EAD, he's looking at doing something temporary for a few months before building back up his career. I know he's getting real bored of not working.

I got locked out of the old app the other day for checking too much LOL! If it wasn't for the lawyer taking so long to send it out in the first place we could have had a slightly earlier received date but go figure!

Hoping we see few updates today from other Nov filers. I'm not seeing anything around 11/23 anymore. Interestingly, there was a case I thought was approved 9 numbers below mine but it now says 'rejected for not being filed correctly'. Is anyone seeing activity around their dates? :)
