Something weird that I saw today is that In Detroit field office some people who filed AOS in mid late December or January and they are being called for interviews. Others have been waiting in the timeline since early October and still have no updates on their case. I thought there is some sense of first come first serve in the local offices.

I have noticed the same for Boston. Saw someone who actually filed AOS in January and already had their GC interview in Boston, meanwhile there's still many people who filed in Sept, Oct, Nov still waiting...🤷🏻‍♀️

A pattern I noticed both for Detroit and Boston is that the majority of people who have gotten an interview were processed at California Service Center. The ones that are still waiting are at National Benefits Center.

Oh okay! Interesting. I was under the impression NBC handled all AOS cases.

Me too but it looks like for some reason some are send to California Service Center. Or at least that's what people claim.

On a funny note, I sat for nearly 2 hours trying to sing some words from a song I couldn't remember yet wanted to listen too.

So after singing half sentences to Jake I finally after 2 hours, I got it: Paula Abdul 'Straight Up' - golden oldie! I'm sure neighbors heard it at 11pm  LOL :P

What I've noticed for November is a huge amount of people stuck in "Fingerprint fee received", while, from what I've read on the forums, December and January filers, get their status updated right after biometrics.

Our case hasn't been updated since November 28th. I used to check informed delivery daily and get excited about any notifications, but all the ones I get, come from Candy Crush. 😅

The fantasy I had of us getting an early interview, seems now unattainable. I feel being awarded a Nobel prize is way easier. 😂

Omg, Jacksonville interview time has gone down to 6.5 to 17 months from 12 to 23; I don't know why, but I'm SUPER happy it has....maybe I'll actually hear something back in one or two months time...

On a slightly sadder note; EAD processing has lengthened by half a month, from 4 - 6, to 4.5 to 6.5

That's awesome on Jacksonville!! Mine went wayyyy opposite and 15-19 months for Vegas!! Grrrr - 2020!!!! (My own frustration Grrrr for outsiders LOL)

Interestingly I read an article this morning saying that it was 4.5-6.5 for EAD back in September 18 if I remember. I guess they fluctuate from time to time but I'm keeping the faith that it wouldn't necessarily impact us that much as they have their fork truly in the mash for October filers!

In regards to K1's, they were 5-7 months for us in December 2017, but now it's 5.5-7.5 but it's clear to see people getting approved in much less than that currently.

Fingers crossed :)

Has anyone began looking for potential jobs?

I've had a few searches and plenty of good jobs out there? I'm thinking I'll probably just take first thing I get just to build up funds a bit

Oh no! I'm sorry they've changed it! Hopefully you get yours sooner than that

I think it does fluctuate; I'm hoping that it shouldn't impact us too much, maybe they're just giving themselves a little extra time before people send through status requests...

Oh no, it's all good!! I mean, I've always had 13-15 months in my head. I'm having full hope and faith it doesn't impact us. Goodness, sometimes I sit wandering how  it ever was that most of the processing for EAD/AP was done within 90 days over a year ago. Times change too I guess.

I'm lucky; my old place of work wants me back to work even remotely - and they have an office in Michigan. Buuuut on the off chance it doesn't work out, there aren't really many jobs here that aren't retail, so I'll have to hope that the first thing that comes up is an office job or something 😂

As for the 90 days EAD....I'm sat here honestly wondering why it's changed from that for AOS applications; theoretically all they have to do is produce a card because it's an interim measure...but then I've seen people get RFEs for EADs and not the AOS itself! Idk, I wish it was still just 90 days, but I'm also glad it isn't much longer than it is at the moment.
