I hope you're right; our roommates that we're tied into leasing with for a year just told us that they're looking at buying a place and breaking the lease so I'm going to need to get back to work!

Oh no!! Yeah, I honestly believe Nov filers should begin hearing by early April as by that point, it'll be 4 months+

Hello!

I know I don't participate a lot in this forum, but I'm a long time lurker, hahaha.

Just letting you know that, like a lot of you, I've been very close to lose my mind with this process.

Today is a good day, because I received a notification saying "my interview has been scheduled".

To all of you waiting for EAD and AP,  hold on! You're almost there!

Hope the interview goes well!

Noa1: November 21st

Yay! Congrats! :D

How accurate do people think the Field Office processing times are for AOS? I mean, there are many times you see people getting interviews prior to the official processing times posted on USCIS...

I think they're fairly accurate? I think K1 (The member here, not the form) says that the minimum date is 50% of applications processed?

Yes this is true. The minimum number of months means that 50% of all applications will have been approved and the maximum number of months means 90% of all applications will be approved.

The tendencies for the K1 to AOS interview timeline does seem to be shorter than the predicted amount of months though. My guess is that it is so because until recently (May 15th, 2018), K1s didnt have to have an AOS interview at all so they are really trying to give us priority over others.

Yeah true!!

When I log onto processing times for Las Vegas. I see 15-18 months in blue at the top then I see 12-23.5 months for the estimated time frame for family based applications in the table below it. I think then if my NOA1 for I-485 is 11/27/18, does that mean earliest interview I could expect is December 2019? Maybe I'm just being dumb lol

You need to read the times for family based applicants at the bottom, not the top.

Our lease ends at the beginning of August, I think, but I want a house by the end of the year. I might ask my parents if we can stay with them for a few months so we don't have an awkward lease period. I dont think they'd mind and my mom has already been sharing all her house ownership knowledge that she's gathered in the past 25 years. We have the start of a good sized down payment, but that amount will go down some since we have a few trips planned (Black Hills over Memorial Day weekend, and then back to the UK in July assuming AP has been issued, which it should be by then).

At minimum you can expect 12 months at your LFO but as I said above they seem to give preference to K1s so your interview may come faster than what is reported on USCIS.

Thanks!! In a selfish way, I would hope that would be the case especially after we followed legal procedures through a K1. I hope this doesn't offend any Nov filers adjusting from other means!!
