I haven't been posting or replying in a while as I was beginning to lose hope, but finally. I am back, as I have nothing but good news on this end to share! After 227 days, I got my notification saying that my interview was scheduled! All it took was constantly calling to bother USCIS, state representative bothering USCIS, and an USCIS Tier 2 Service Request to get some movement. But at long last, it is here! I can breathe easy for the moment.

Omg I'm so happy for you guys! I've been checking daily to see if you've had any news yet and I'm super glad that your interview is finally scheduled. Hopefully it's not too far away!

Take a moment to breath and relax for a bit; yours has been one of the more difficult journeys for no apparent reason at all.

Hugs ❤️

Is it worth filing a request if AP is out of processing time but EAD isn't yet? Since it's a combo card I'm guessing we need for both to to be past?

Yeah!!! So happy for you guys!

You really deserved this, after all the mess with your birth certificate.

Hope the notification arrives soon in the mail and the interview won't be that far from now.

Time to celebrate! 🙌

Thank you! We celebrated last night with homemade M&M cookies!! They were so good! We're predicting we'll get our letter by Friday-Monday, hopefully!
I'm just glad there is an interview date. I can finally start looking for prospective jobs!

Wow!!! That is SUPER awesome; so happy for you guys! 😊

Thank you! Your time will come! I feel like we only got ours this quick was because of the pressure and harassment we gave USCIS lol 😂

Thank you! We're predicting July 29th as our interview day, so we'll see how close to that we are. It's been nice for us both to have this weight lifted off our shoulders, even if it's just temporary positivity. It really has been like every roadblock has been thrown up for our case, but thankfully with persistance and nagging it's finally coming through.

Hey! When was your filing date? I’m a Milwaukee filer and we filed 11/21 and still no word at day 217. I tried contacting my senator but he stated they told him we were still in normal processing time.

Sure it is :) can’t hurt. I’ve seen lately many people are getting one without the other so it doesn’t really matter

My only concern with doing so is that they may only push the AP application and not EAD with you ending up with a paper AP travel document. There have been ppl in the forums that this has happened to and it only caused mayhem with getting the other benefit approved.

Welp, we're at 224 days of nothing, as of today. We still haven't had any new from either of the two senators we've contacted, but the good news is that the receipt date for a case inquiry about the Travel Document is at November 1, 2018 now... so I'm guessing if we still haven't heard anything in about two weeks, we'll be considered out of normal processing times and we can submit an inquiry for our AP.

There's hope for us November filers still waiting! The process sure is torturous though. 😞

My heart goes out to you guys. After the K1, one would never think this part of the process would be so tortuous and painful.

I so wish there was something we could actually do to help things move.

I send you both the best vibes, hoping you get good news soon. 💚

Aw, thank you! That's very sweet. We just spent about 6 weeks visiting family in Texas to try and distract ourselves for a bit. We got to go to the beach, so it's not all bad! We really just thought we would have heard something by now. Who knows? The week isn't over yet. 😊

We filed our AP, EAD & I-485 at the same time (Nov 5 date.)  We got our AP approved earlier this month and interview has been scheduled but we found our EAD had somehow gotten separated and given a receipt date of Nov 23.  So they definitely treat them separately and just issue a combo card since they *usually* get processed at the same time.  All the trouble I've read about with H1B spouse work visas being denied and all, I suspect they may be spending extra time scrutinizing or delaying approving EADs because . .. current administration. Even though there was a court order to continue approving the H1B spouse work visas until an official verdict was reached, USCIS is now facing court ordered sanctions for continuing to deny these applications. I know our EADs are different but I suspect some of the same ideology is being applied. But then some people who applied after us not only received an EAD within 3-4 months but also have their green card in hand. It's a real ####### shoot.
