I did this at the beginning of April. They let me sit on hold for an hour at 7am CST before telling me my husband had to be on the phone to discuss why he was asked for a foreign translation of an English BC for his I-485. Since I was in a hour earlier than usual, already angry at having sat on hold for an hour, and not in my right mind I yelled was very stern with him about how my husband could not be with me at the moment 1) because I had a job so that made me qualify for the Affidavit of Support, 2) because he was not allowed to work due to their slowness and unfortunately it was not "bring your foreign husband to work day", and 3) because I should have been told that they couldn't discuss anything without my husband prior to being transferred to him. Five seconds after I got off the phone, I though "I should have just made one of the guys I work with fake an accent. Matt wouldn't have cared". Matt confirmed he wouldn't have, but I should have just called him on my personal phone and put him on speaker.

I'm still real bitter about never hearing the words "I'm sorry" out of the guys mouth in regards to the wait and lack of transparency about who was needed on the call prior to sitting on hold for an hour 😐

I guess I just don't get the need for this privacy since we, the petitioners, had to sign off on all of it. No personal information we wouldn't know from signing the forms.

I did think I should have faked his voice. LOL!

Finally got hold of someone at USCIS with hubby and got our I-765 receipt number.  At first they couldn't find it then found that it was registered as being received Nov 23 (everything else is Nov 5.)  We did get an RFE but I seem to remember sending it at the beginning of Dec so not sure why our form would be so far apart from both the I-485 and I-131!  At least it wasn't completely lost as I had feared.

Just joined to commiserate. Marriage based. Haven't seen any movement since December. We really never imagined it would be June and still no ability to work or travel. BK looks like it's going to take 100 years to get an interview.

For others in the same situation, what's your level of optimism/pessimism? At least it's looking like some people in Nov are getting movement, but really that's not worth much at the end of the day.

i131 - "Case Was Received". On November 9, 2018, we received your Form I-131, Application for Travel Document

i765 - "Fingerprint Review Was Completed". As of December 9, 2018, we completed our review of your fingerprints and are working on your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization.

Misery loves company! I've always been a pessimist and this process hasn't helped. Sometimes once I see approvals I get this little flutter of hope, but inevitably weeks go by with no movement on our case. Sorry your lfo is slow, I also empathize with that situation. :(

Hi, I am Dec 5th filer. No ead yet but case status changed to ready to schedule an interview 5 days ago. I am trying not to be miserable and dont think too much about it, its nit worth to be stress out about something i have no control over. Just seat tight and wait. Hope you will hear something soon:)

Personally I think it’s a disgrace that I got RFIE so long after submitting bc I see most getting theirs fairly soon after! But yes you’re right! Not even a month. I’m over the moon, although it could still take a while from here - some movement is good!!

Fingers crossed for you!

Congrats!

Yes the EAD and AP will come as a combo card if you applied concurrently. AP status rarely changes.
