So we have finally decided to submit an "expedite" on our EAD after reading through the January, February, and March forums. Its just so crazy how many people have gotten quick responses and have been able to start their lives finally while we have been stuck in limbo for 192 days. The USCIS woman seemed nice and felt bad for our situation BUT that's all well until we actually submit everything and see if they approve it. So hopefully this helps and sets a fire under our case and they realize the urgency... Fingers and toes crossed this helps!

Oh dear god... did you guys see that they just pushed inquiry dates back for EAD and the travel document? It's now saying 6.5 - 8.5 months for EAD and 6 - 8 months for the travel document. My fears have come true... I think our case (and many others) will soon hit 200+ days. UGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!! This is just cruel. We're currently on day 192 and counting. I can't believe this. 😡

Honestly, they should expedite K1's AOS automatically. We wait almost a year to move -some even more- just to wait again, praying we won't be the ones left behind.

They already have LOTS if not all information about us. Further scrutiny could happen at local level, not at NBC.

With which reasons are you going to request the expedite? We were thinking about this too, but never did it because we don't really have a reason, at least according to uscis rules.

* Many processing times vent ALERT *

I knew and predicted this was going to happen last month once they started their push backs. I am so sorry this is happening. It's utterly disgraceful! Hopefully it won't impact prompt approvals for Nov approvals from here on in.

It's clear as I have banged on and on again about (like a broken record on VJ and even to my husband) that the NBC can't cope which clearly is again evident in all these push backs. Like seriously...how much longer can these push backs continue?! What's next 7-9 months processing???????? - just makes me so angry considering how much I know people need their EAD/AP's!

Everyone waiting is in my thoughts and I really hope you all get your combos super super soon!!!! ❤️

Maybe they want people to go for spousal visas rather than fiance?

Whatever the reason, they're certainly overwhelmed. Therefore the illogical timelines -some waiting 90 days while others wait over 200-, plus those awful mistakes we've seen them commiting.

Sometimes I truly wonder what goes on in those offices.

I think I saw it on the December thread -wish I knew where exactly-, someone sharing about successfully expediting EAD/AP with no emergency or job offer, but just a very compelling letter describing the struggles they've been through.

If I find the post, I'll share it here.

In the meantime, all the good vibes and best of luck for y'all.

Day 200. I actually feel sick seeing that they’ve changed the inquiry date. That’s literally all I was holding on to at this stage. The thought that AT LEAST we could inquire next week... :(

Ugh, I'm so sorry. This is truly just ridiculous and disgraceful. I'm outraged about this -- just as many people are, and I hope this won't affect us November filers too terribly much.

On a lighter note, I did see that a fair amount of November filers got approved today (not sure if they were on VJ or not), but at least there has been some movement in our month. Just because they've officially pushed the dates back doesn't necessarily mean we'll all have to wait until we hit 8.5 months to hear anything (hopefully!). I'm seriously hoping we'll all hear some good news way before that! 🤞

As sucky as these delays are, part of me is relieved that by pushing these dates back, they're at least basically admitting to being behind, as opposed to pretending everything is fine on their end. Don't get me wrong -- these delays are ridiculous and are just plain cruel, but I'm kind of relieved they're not pretending everything is hunky dory anymore. 🤷‍♀️

It’s awful. I’m actually shocked.. we could’ve submitted by Friday next week, so now it’s like.. ummmm.. ? 😕 I’m just so annoyed because all I want to do is drive, just have some sort of freedom. Financially we’re doing great on just my husbands paycheck (more money would be fantastic ofc) but I just wanna do some stuff by myself. It’s so so frustrating...

I am crossing my fingers that this won’t affect us Nov’s too much. But I don’t have much hope haha.

You’re not wrong! It’s actually pretty appalling. If they’re this behind they should be hiring more people or find some sort of larger long term solution than making people wait for THIS long. It’s absurd! :(
