Good morning, guys! 👋

We had our AOS interview in Baltimore field office this Monday - May 6.

All of us felt great relief that it’s done now and we are one step closer to the green cards. But our case is reviewed still and we know they have 120 days to make their decision.

To begin with we got up at 5am to be there at 7am for our appointment but the interview started around 8.20. When the officer finally invited us it appeared that the officer that was supposed to interview us wasn’t at the office and that caused the delay. We went through all the questions on the application form - he questioned me, my husband and my 16 year old daughter, looked through the photos, asked my 5 year old to say who was on them. The atmosphere was pretty friendly, there were a lot of jokes and the officer looked like he enjoyed the interview. He actually was a very nice guy. We asked him about our EAD and AP and SSN and he said they even might arrive after the green cards as they are parallel to AOS, he looked online and said they were not touched 🤯(and it was 185 days from date received). We had to explain to him that we had no joint bank account as my husband’s bank required SSN. They guy was also surprised to hear I couldn’t get a driver’s license and said MVA should have a solution for those who entered the US lawfully. And then he explained the further procedure - 2 weeks for his supervised to go through the case and 120 days altogether to make a decision. For 2 of our 3 cases the status changed to “Interview was completed and case must be reviewed” same day.

Well, now we have 120 days to count - and the process doesn’t seem endless 😃

Congrats! Sounds like the interview went well :) Thanks for keeping us updated.

Thank you! But it is hard to tell whether it’s alright or not. We were not told “you are approved” or “I will suggest you should be approved”. We were just informed of the further steps and that’s it 🤷‍♀️ I couldn’t read reviews of Baltimore field office on visajourney cause it kicks me out to this “goodluckday” sh&t all the time 😕 But I hope it is going to be a matter of a couple of weeks for us 🙏

Wishing everybody get their EADs/APs in the mail and interviews scheduled 🤗🤗🤗

I feel like it totally depends on the officer you speak with (regarding what kind of language they use). Hopefully you get a response soon!

I think that I've been checking casetracker so frequently that I've locked myself out. Received this message on BOTH the casetracker app AND when I tried to log in to my actual USCIS account :( Anyone else have this happen? How long did it take for it to unlock?

"IT WAS REPORTED TO US THAT YOUR IP ADDRESS OR INTERNET GATEWAY HAS BEEN LOCKED OUT FOR A SELECT PERIOD OF TIME. THIS IS DUE TO AN UNUSUALLY HIGH RATE OF USE. IN ORDER TO AVOID THIS ISSUE, PLEASE CREATE A CUSTOMER ACCOUNT (SINGLE APPLICANT) OR A REPRESENTATIVE ACCOUNT (REPRESENTING MANY INDIVIDUALS)."

Hi, I will have my interview in Baltimore in a couple of weeks and I am adjusting from a k1 too! Unfortunately, it looks like our FO never approves on the spot and some wait up to 2 months to receive their GC. Honestly, I hope that this is not our case as we have already been investigated enough for our k1visas! Keep us/me updated on your status, please. I really hope it changes soon!!!

Hi! I wish you good luck with the interview! ✌️

And yes let’s hope it’s just their regular processing practice not to announce their decision right away. 🙏🙏🙏

Use the casetracker app - there's a search tool that allows you to scan up to 500 cases around a case number you can specify!

I appreciate it! Thank you. 😊

Hey all,

We have our interview coming up next Friday and I had a few questions regarding the required list to bring to the interview:

Do we have to bring in copies of the forms I-485 and I-864? These were already submitted and I feel like it would be such a waste of printing and paper if they already have these documents.

Is the medical form I-693 the same form that is submitted in a sealed envelope when entering the US?

We plan to bring the following:

Documentation showing our joint bank and phone accounts

Evidence of our residence & address

Official marriage certificate

Our government IDs and birth certificates

i-94

Photos of our wedding and honeymoon with airplane tickets

Any other advice would be greatly appreciated! Good luck to all those interviewing soon 😊

Hi! I have my interview the day before you (Thursday, eek!)

We're not bringing copies of the I-485/I-864, but for the latter we'll be bringing along more of my husband's pay slips just in case they need that additional evidence (he only started earning enough in June of last year so we could only submit a few pay slips before).

The medical form I-693 is the same; did you get a copy for yourself when you went for your medical in your country? I got a copy from given to me, I'll be taking that along and hoping it's enough.

Evidence we're taking is similar to yours;

-Joint bank statement

-Copy of our lease

-Marriage certificate

-Govt IDs and BCs

-I94 print out

-Print out of health insurance we have through his work (I'm the beneficiary on his life insurance too)

-Our wedding album (and a few loose pictures if they need them for their files)

I'll probably post on Thursday evening how ours went, but with any luck the evidence should be enough. :)

Edit: Hey - could you update your timeline? Thanks! 😁
