Matt finally got through to USCIS today asking them about our idiotic RFIE.

Apparently the tier 2 person he talked to thought the request was "a little ridiculous and amusing". Good thing I was not on the phone because I would have ripped them a new one for thinking it was amusing. But Matt also knows how to stay calm because he was able to get more information in doing so where as I would have been kicked off the line. Anywho... according to her they are processing EAD/AP for October 21st which is a week ahead of what their website says. She thinks we should have it by the end of the month. Granted, a month and a half ago when complaining about previously mentioned many-times-over-RFIE to the LFO via an info pass, they had predicted a green card interview by mid-May, which is clearly not happening. She also said that based on what Matt told her about his parents health conditions, he should be able to get one-time emergency AP. Not ideal, but definitely a last minute option (although I think it still costs an extra $350).

Forever feeling like 🤷‍♀️

Ugh! Fingers crossed for you guys! And yup, this is the best emoji for USCIS 🤷‍♀️ hahaha!

Use the casetracker app - there's a search tool that allows you to scan up to 500 cases around a case number you can specify!

There were a few posts from people saying that the USCIS case tracker app is no longer available for iPhones (if you already haven’t downloaded it) but supposedly it’s still available for Android. If I’m not mistaken, another VJ member said they asked USCIS about it and they're working with apple on getting it back for iPhones.

Ah yes, that's true. Hopefully they'll have it back soon, that's pretty annoying.

I contacted them and they said apple removes their app, but you can still use it with android. They are working with apple to get the app back on the market but at this moment if you have the app with apple it’s working fine. Just can’t download it if you want it on your apple product

Just saw that 3 cases closely ahead of ours were approved and new card is being produced as of TODAY!! Wooo! It’s day 184 for us and we are READY!!!!

Wonderful news!!! Hope you do get it!! We are 164 days...ugh does this mean we need to 20 more days so we can be up in the 180’s?!?! 😫. Yea my prediction that we wouldn’t be seeing it until end of May beginning of June is looking accurate. 6 months waiting 😒😞😢 just crazy

No, not EAD thanks to extension letter - but AD. I lost a pretty big job assignment due to not being able to leave the country this week. That did hurt.

Excited for the interview though. I hope ya'll get your EAD's this week!!! I can feel it :)

Day 184 for us. We’re sending the response off today from our RFIE which we received 23 days ago. I wonder how long from here it’ll take for them to take some sort of action on our case. Still pretty dumbfounded and annoyed. I feel like EAD/AP will no doubt surpass our k1 approval days waiting (210) 😂
