I don't know if the scanning ever made me feel better. Usually just worse. To be able to see just how many applications are pending....oh my god. It's unbelievable. And you're right, it makes no sense that the people who have already been checked into (for the purposes of a K1 visa) can come here and still be unable to work for 5-7 months. Absolutely ridiculous. Those thoughts cross my mind like 50x a day....but unfortunately this process isn't exactly logical

My parents have been planning a trip to Europe - my sister and I are joining them for a week (beginning of July). We thought "Oh, what a good chance to visit Belgium and meet XXX's family!" This was back in October, mind you, when combo cards were taking 3 months to process. Well it's going to be massively awkward if my family and I show up at my hubby's family's house without him. Especially considering I'm the only one who can speak their language (and poorly, at that). And obviously it's our own fault for making plans....but who would have thought this would end up taking sooooooooooo long?! :dead:

This is so sad! So many are just in limbo, waiting 😫. And none of it makes sense!! Why it takes so long!! The work cards/travel cards are intended to relieve the stress of waiting for green card. But this wait has become ridiculously long. So long that some states get green card before work card/travel card...now how does that make any sense 🤦🏻‍♀️. And try explaining this to the parents in your spouses country why their son can’t work in America yet and why he can’t come home and see them. 😫 they don’t understand...why because no one thinks this is how the process should be going, not in America 🤦🏻‍♀️. But sadly it is, and the process makes no sense and the only choice any of us have is just wait it out. Eventually our turn comes and then we get to move on with life. I get this process takes time, I just don’t get why it takes so much time to be able to WORK/TRAVEL HOME!!

Im SORRY EVERYONE STILL WAITING!! This is not a matter of being patient, and trusting the system....because we have done that!! We get we must wait!! But WAITING THIS LONG TO WORK AND TRAVEL IS JUST CRAZY!!!

Hey anyone here filled in the beginning of November AOS husband/wife😩😩😩hows it going you guys got your interview scheduled?

1 hour ago, kanderson101 said:

Interview scheduling depends on your local field office (LFO). It will be very different for each person. I suggest you look up the amount of time that it takes on average for interviews at your LFO. For example, my LFO is Seattle and interviews aren't being scheduled until 18-22 months or something after AOS

This is correct.. our AOS is in Maine and it takes 10.5-22 months.

Wow Kanderson101!! I guess other places are like us with very long waiting times for AOS. I thought it was because Maine is so small but Seattle must because you have so many 🤷🏻‍♀️

I just ran a scan there. There seems to be a lot of recent activity around my date 11/23 with approvals a few days ago... I really hope to see more approvals this week for everyone!!!! ❤️

This is good news....I’m really thinking we won’t hear anything until mid May or the end of it. Visa journey first predicted this....I should have ignored the adjustment and everyone around November 26 getting answers. And just stuck to thinking mid May...maybe that would have helped me not get so mad with the process 🤣

My 485 changed to interview ready to be scheduled but no update on EAD/AP yet :(  It can take forever, especially at my local office that has a long long long processing wait.

Ours just changed to "Interview Ready To Be Scheduled" 5 days ago! Still no EAD/AP. But really hoping we get an interview soon, as San Diego has been pretty fast and most people around our file date already have interviews scheduled! So hoping ours is next!

That's awesome! Hope you get yours soon! I'm not holding out too much hope for the interview to be scheduled quickly because ours is like a 9 to 12 month wait for a green card interview..soo.. but I'm hoping our ead/ap comes through in may!

So a friend of mine received her letter for interview and it says a translator is required if the person doesn’t speak english. It’s a translator obligatory?

If the beneficiary does not speak English, yes, the translator must be there. The petitioner cannot be the translator.
