So frustrating to see so many people in the same boat. We were hoping to get back to England because my husband is supposed to be the best man in our friends' wedding mid-May. It's looking like that's not going to happen now, so my husband is planning to film himself giving the best man speech. We're both musicians, and we were asked to play the first dance... so I guess we'll just have to make a video of that too. 😞

We got our hopes up with all the recent approvals, but we're on day 166 and are still waiting to hear anything. I hate seeing how upset he's been about not being able to go, and to hear how disappointed our friends are that we can't make it to the wedding. It kind of makes me feel like the bad guy, but I try to not think that way. Just trying to stay hopeful and maybe we'll hear something soon... 🤞

I hope it works out for you guys, too! I know that if my parents decided they wanted to meet Matt's and neither of us were there I'd find the nearest cliff to throw myself off of out of embarrassment and anxiety.

Hahahaha, I have a similar feeling! I haven't even considered an alternative plan at this point because I'm in denial that it  could take that long. It doesn't help that his parents are thoroughly unhappy/stressed about the fact that he hasn't been working and has a massive gap in his resume. Not that it's his fault of course, but they're just worried, as any parents would be.

I wish I could volunteer to help USCIS with their case load

Wow, I'm sorry... I can only imagine how you both must feel about that. I know what you mean about the "feeling like the bad guy" thing. Sometimes it's hard not to feel like that. Good for you two for trying to stay positive and finding a solution (making videos) - even though it isn't the same, I'm sure your friends will appreciate how much effort you went to.

Fingers crossed for you guys! And about the "feeling like the bad guy", it's tough not to feel that way. I feel the same way allllll of the time. But we just have to realize that it won't be like this forever. And we are all going to be so damn happy once we get approvals. 💛 Then we can start living life like normal couples again! Can't wait for that!

Thanks! Yeah, it's not the same, but it's probably the best we can do at the moment. Hopefully we'll be able to go to England to celebrate later this summer or something. In a way, that's probably better because we'll be able to spend more time with everyone. Plus, I love weddings, but you almost never get to talk to the bride and groom for very long because they get pulled in every direction. If we go later in the summer, we'll get to spend more quality time with them. 😊 I hope you and your husband will be able to go over to Europe together before too long! It's so tough to want to make plans when your lives are kind of on hold (as far as the AOS is considered). I hope you guys get some good news soon! 🤞

Aw, thanks. 😊 Whenever my husband is feeling down about all the waiting, I try to look on the bright and say "at least it's not forever," or "every day we get a little bit closer to hearing something." It's hard to not feel guilty sometimes, but it'll all be worth it in the end! Fingers crossed for some good news for you guys as well.

Hopefully soon we'll all be able to celebrate and pop a nice bottle of champagne! Haha 🍾🥂🎉

I'm only kindly pointing out that same sex marriage is a thing too. And there could be same sex marriages from beginning of Nov too waiting!

Hey anyone here filled in the beginning of November AOS husband/wife😩😩😩hows it going you guys got your interview scheduled?

Interview scheduling depends on your local field office (LFO). It will be very different for each person. I suggest you look up the amount of time that it takes on average for interviews at your LFO. For example, my LFO is Seattle and interviews aren't being scheduled until 18-22 months or something after AOS
